I received a call from TTG Consultants. The appointment scheduler indicated that "my resume had been reviewed" but they want to meet me to see what they could do for me. She was very insistent. I always hesitate to meet recruiters because they don't usually help all that much, so I started asking questions. She wouldn't answer anything except to say that they only meet in person to discuss my needs. As soon as I looked at their website, I knew they wanted to sell me something. I cancelled my appointment.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I too had a similar experience...TTG Consultants (www.ttgconsultants.com) preys on the unemployed trying to make a quick buck and empty promises. This company should be investigated by the Attorney General!
Upon further review, they are affiliated with another company called Licolnshire International. I would caution anyone thinking about working with these companies.

I had a feeling it was a shadow interview to get to a sales pitch, too. I went to meet the "VP" and it was what (you) i suspected. Although the VP was reasonable & attentive, but i just don't have the money ($3500 - 6 months; $5500 - 1 yr) to be throwing it at this "bad" (12.5% UE) economy problem. Fact is, they do not represent many Biotech firms, 2 possible candidates. (Roche BioSci & Proteon). I rather spend that kind of money on an employment law lawyer for my ex-company... haha-ha!
I would guess this company is struggling since recruiters are fighting over job listings & companies are flooded with candidates. If your not a good networker then what other choices do you have... pay to play. A general rule from many recruiter conversations: Never pay to see or apply to job listings!

I had a similar experience. I went to the meeting. Sounded good until I heard the price tag.
They never did show me the companies they represented in my field!
How many people looking for work, have that kind of money to put down.
Find me work, then I will pay you... how come that isn't in the equation?
