I purchased a 2016 jeep patriot back at the end of March 2023. I paid for a two year extended warranty an extra $3500 was added into my contract. now I found out US auto sales went out of business and the new company Westlake portfolio Inc. is taking the payments but they are not honoring the warranties. I see this complaint on here several times, so my question is do I need to get a lawyer involved because that $3500 is just being paid to no one, the money was supposed to go to the warranty company whom I contacted and they said they never received payment so it sounds like to me that US auto sales stole my $3500 yet I have a signed and binding contract. This is pretty dirty how to do your customers to go out of bankruptcy OK understandable but still take care of your customers and the warranties that they paid for you need to honor those . Thank goodness I have not had to needed to use a warranty because my car has been running fine but who’s to say a year or year and a half down the road I’ll need the warranty.. I’m just curious if I need to get a lawyer involved because I do have a legal contract that Westlake purchased our loans so if they purchased our loans then they purchased our contracts therefore they should honor the warranty. Thank you. My name is Juliet Negron. I live in Knoxville Tennessee. My email address is JNEGRON [protected]@gmail.com. I’m hoping enough of these complaints will have either company do something about this issue. This is unfair, unconstitutional, and just downright dirty to steal money from people.
Desired outcome: I would either like my $3500 back so I can buy a warranty from a reputable company or they need to pay the original warranty company. That I have a warranty with.
