Snap Fitness - New owners

I was a manager at fort Payne snap fitness. I was there for a year. I was at work on time (very early every day) I did all the job duties. I worked hard everyday. The gym got bought and the new owners where more involved which was great! I had owners that really cared about the well being of the gym. Well so I thought. Over the month of them owning it they had made me feel like I was unable to do my job by the way the wife of the owner would speak to me or the way she would look at me. the floors where not cleaned 24/7 by no means, but I would sweep and mop almost twice a day plus vacuum many times. I always came in and did my job at the best I could do. The owner only came to me once about the cleaning and nothing was ever said about it again. I was the only one cleaning I did not have a cleaning crew. I worked Monday through Friday and those where the days I was paid for. They got upset at me neon the weekends the gym would not be cleaned. I tried daily to make sure that they where happy and knew that I was doing al I could to insure I was doing all my job. I am in a relationship with a woman and I keep my personal life and my work life very separate. I was told that I have had so many complaints in the past few weeks. I worked there for a year without any complaints before now. The owner fired me Friday March 6 th 2020. He said many different things as to why I was being let go. But he thought I changed the password on the office computer the night before and after I was already off he demanded I leave my children and come back to the gym to log in. I believe that my sexuality was the cause of me being let go. I was told by many people that know him personally that that was one of the main reasons was that he did not want a a guy person running his business. As I was getting my items out of the gym that I have worked at and has been my second home for a year. He told me I was not allowed back at all that I needed to get my stuff and leave. He raised his voice about me taking my items that I bought. Telling me that those where his items that he bought when he bought snap. These items where things he can go buy. As I am making sure al my papers and items are ready because once I walk out I am am not allowed back in the door he said. He tells me just to get out! I have been treated like garbage from the new owners and I wanted to reach out before I went and got a lawyer about the matter. I strongly believe that my way of life was the reason I was let go.
