This campground had construction going on the complete time that we were there. We were not told when making the reservation. We had to listen to big trucks and noise the complete time that we were there. You couldn't hear the television even when you could get a station or hear yourself talk. Also it didn't do anything for the nose with all the dust or for the head of giving you a headache. I spend the 2 days snizzing my head off and with a headache. I was only given a sorry for the noise when I went to cancel one night of our 3 night stay. If we would of cancel than we would of got charged but we got no discount for the dust, dirt, and noise. I stayed in better campgrounds than this for 15.00 so it will have to be the only campground around before I will stay at another KOA campground.

This lady that answers the phone and sets your camping spot is the most rudest I ever talked to gave me a back in spot then told me the only way I can use it is to pull in how stupid the power and water wrong side I said that wont work cancel the spot after I paid 25 down then said the only I get I refund from their stupid mistake its cost me 10 to drop the trip. I belong to a union of more than 50000 members strong even if I get one family not to camp their I would feel great cause they are crap beware bait and switch
My family stayed at the Cloverdale KOA during Thanksgiving 2008 for four nights we had two RV spots at a cost of $280.00 each after all the extra charges were added that did not show on there web site. The minature golf couarse was a safety hazzard with stagnet water in the holes and low branches with sharp ends on them my 6 year old son got stabbed in the face by one of them nearly missing his eyeball when I complained they sent a maintance person with a backpack blower problem was not solved . On 5/27/09 my sister recieved a charge on her credit card for $30.00 when campground was contacted they said it was for two nights tent camping, then they said the people stayed in there same spot, then they said they had the same last name.
We got charged $70.00 a night for this site yet tent campers only got charged $15.00 it was Memorial Day Weekend. I think they were Fishing "CREDIT CARD SCAM "to see if a little charge here and a little would fly under the radar. I would not recomend anyone to stay at this campground it cost way to much its not kept clean or maintained . If you have stayed here I would recomend that you check your credit card for Unauthorized Illegal charges Made by Staff.
KOA campground in Union, Illinois. My overall concern was the hospitality of the campground. I understand that they have a non-refundable deposit for cancellations. However, our family had an uncontrollable work circumstance come up and notified the campground 1 month in advance. We were so disappointed that they did not even ATTEMPT to fill our spot when we knew there was a waiting list of people wishing to take our reservation. How disappointing that hotels are more cooperative with refunding money. We ended up paying for a cabin rental we could not use. I believe this is a reflection upon the service and care of the owners. Very disappointing and difficult to work with. In society today, you just wish people could be NICE and UNDERSTANDING.
the koa in cloverdale, ca. Sold me a couple of unsable products form its store and refused to refund me the money. The cheese I purchased was so bad it smelled up our refridgerator. The smore kit we purchased the chocolate was one big block of solid and was not usable. The floors in the bathroom were always dirty and there was never any soap in the dispensors to use. What soap was there was laying in a big puddle on the counter. Toothpaste was stuck everywhere in the sinks in all bathrooms that I went into. Also the trash cans were so far away from the camp site and one had to treck uphill to get to one. They were only located by the two existing bathrooms. There were broken swings by the pool and around the small pond. One had to sit in the dirt on the ground to use one! The windows had a crank to open them and some of the many windows would not stay open. The overhead fan/lights were wobbling and gave us worry as they spun. In conclusion the price of renting a cabin, the quality and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Any store in the nation will refund you money paid for bad food. Here there was only an attitude and no compensation for spoiled food.
