I've had many problems at this property, starting with the manager, Carla. She has constant attitude and has made it impossible to go to her with any problems one might have with anything on the property. She doesn't actually do anything about the complaints being made either. I have many examples of this, all of which will take more then the 350ch allowed for this complaint.
2nd there is damage to a sprinkler that keeps spraying my car and nothing has been done to fix it and it leaves watermarks on the car which are hard to get off the paint due to the calcium in the water.
3rd, one of the maintenance employees Christian, has been entering rooms of guests while they are not there and stealing personal items I seen him exiting one with items myself and again carla did nothing about it. He's also bragged about it to people and been over heard doing so. He's also asked my partner if she knew where to get fentanyl! We don't do those things and it's inappropriate of him to be confronting guests with such things! He needs to be removed and possibly arrested for the items he stole, after he's drug tested! One could even assume he's doing these drugs while on the clock as I have seen him standing up nodding out, falling over, a number of times. I don't know personally but I know the effects of the drug he asked for due to being in the medical field for a number of years. There should be a standard for the employees, and whatever they are, he's not even close to meeting them.
I have been at this property over a month, for this stay, and previously for a number of months also but it's only been during this stay that I've ever had this many issues go down that aren't being resolved in a befitting manner.
Due to the signs and policies regarding the fact that they aren't responsible for lost or stolen items out of a vehicle or the vehicle itself, I put a camera up facing only my property and have caught 2 people, so far, trying to break into my car and or steal things off of it. When I told Carla she just said sorry to hear that! Then she came to my partner with a snotty attitude demanding that we take it down - even though I wasn't violating any other guests expected privacy or any local laws. She was rude and wouldn't hear me out when I tried to tell her that unless the company policy has changed and they'll replace or pay for any damage to my car while on the property, then I have a right to keep an eye on my car. She told me to contact corporate about it. So, I am, per her request, and now about everything else I see that shouldn't be happening around here since I can't leave even my room without fear it'll be broken into by an employee that is going to steal from me!
It's not even about having valuable items in my car, but the fact that my car itself is valuable and even with insurance, there's a number of things that it doesn't cover. So I'd like to be contacted and get approval to keep using my own camera to watch only my property. I have asked the guests around me if it's a problem for them that it's there and they've given me their ok since it's also going to be keeping an eye on their cars as well since the hotel won't use any security to assure the vehicles aren't vandalized or messed with at all.
Along with this complaint, I am filing one with the BBB, as well as any other forum I can make it known that the business practices at this property are not above board, nor meet basic customer satisfaction needs. There are a number of other guests that agree with me but do not know how to go about filing a complaint when the manager of the property is who they have to complain about! She also smokes where guests can see her while on the clock, if she doesn't have to follow the rules, then why is she in charge of enforcing them among guests here?
There was an occasion that I needed to get belongings she had in the store room (end of January) and when I finally spoke to her on the phone she had an attitude like it wasn't her job to handle the issue, stating that she's gone for the day and not on the property. Well if she can't return to the property to deal with any issues then she shouldn't be a manager of said property. I have asked twice for light bulbs that burnt out to be replaced, and not even those were replaced I had to go buy them myself. The fan in my bathroom is literally hanging on by a wire and the fan is so loud using the bathroom with it on is just annoying and so we mostly keep it off with the door open for light. Yesterday, 4/2/21, I found a waterbug in my room that came in from the space around the a/c unit, that needs to be serviced as well!
That's what I would like done to resolve the issue. Remover her from her position because she's incompetent and rude along with being unable to carry out the duties of her position in a professional manner. She literally throws tantrums when complaints are made about the condition of the property. She's highly unprofessional and doesn't hold her employees to proper standards either.
This is an extended stay, meaning it should feel like a home away from home unless I misunderstand the mission statement, these employees with the exception of one or two, do not measure up to what the company says they should behave like and conduct themselves.
From simple things to major issues this property should be looked over by HQ without notice so they can't clean up right before they arrive I don't know how else to say it but you people should really vet the employees better then you do. I would like to be contacted personally by a corporate officer to further discuss the misconduct going on here.
I'm not in the habit of complaining like this, but I do expect a certain level of security when I leave the property to go to work and having an employee on site that's bragged about going into rooms to steal things from the guests, doesn't make me feel good about doing so. The only reason I have stayed at this property this long is because of it's location and convenience in proximity to work. There are worse places and cheaper of course but we're talking standards made by the company itself and those aren't being met. please contact me at [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Demotion of manager Carla and firing of Christian, fixing of sprinkler (2start)
