I went to get my moms controlled prescription last night from vons 5500 Woodruff eve Lakewood. Filled last 2/28/21 and to be picked up on 3/30/21.
The clerk told me that I couldn't get it due to the hold on the prescription while the hold will be up April 5th. I said that's not right.
Well come to find out I picked up the last prescription from that pharmacy for my mom on February 28th. It's a controlled drug so it requires the pharmacist signature then it gets scanned into the computer system. So that the doctor will know when my mom had her last script filled...
Well the clerk did not scan the pharmacist signature into the system until 6 days after Feb 28... He scanned it in the system on March 5th instead.
So when I arrived to pick up my moms medication on March 30 they said I could not pick it up that the doctor had a hold on the script...
Not knowing the truth that they were late scanning the script and the pharmacist signature. My mom takes percocet 3 times a day 6:00 a.M., 2:00 p.M. And 10:00 p.M. She had nothing and I had to have the doctor's office follow up on this as the doctor's office is the one who found out the truth about why the prescription was not filled on time. It was someone who didn't do their job and scan the prescription into the computer system so that the customer could get her medication on time.
When my mom called the doctors' office it was after 8:00 a.M. She got sent to voice mail and it stated that if this is an emergency hang up and call 911, so that's exactly what my mom did called 911. Unnecessarily now because of this pharmacy by not doing their job my 87 year old mother wouldn't of called 911 and when I get the bill I'm taking it to the pharmacy to pay because the pharmacy did not do their job correctly
When the doctor's office finally gave the ok to fill the script my husband went to the pharmacy not me... If it had been me they would've gotten a good piece of my mind. If I do get a bill I'm going to be so furious
I've been a customer from the day that store opened 1984
How would you feel if this was your mom and they screwed her over and didn't even apologize for the mistake they made. They didn't scan the prescription until March 5th into the system.
My moms pills were last filled Feb 28th a 30 days supply would've last until March 30th
Yet the pharmacy said we couldn't get it until April 5th... And it was their error not ours and not the doctors... Only the clerk at the pharmacy and the pharmacist for not following up on the signatures in the system to just follow up on the clerks especially when it's a controlled drug and your elderly parent needs it for pain like mine...
What do I do when this happens?
What they pharmacy could've said was oh we made a mistake and were trying to correct it... But they didn't
The clerk tried to make it sound like it was the doctor's office's fault and that was the reason she wasn't getting her medication on time... He's really a jerk about it.
Desired outcome: pain and suffering.
