The Pep Boys

I initially went to take my car to the pep boys 3737 crenshaw Blvd., loss Angeles, CA and I was given a diagnostic for my car. They told me my car had a misfire due air being filled in the car and the Throttle could be dirty and air was moving through the car causing a misfire, so they needed a smoker to clean out the air and find the missing piece. Since they did not have a smoker, they sent me to the Pep boys on 1200 Washington Blvd, CA.

Once I took it to the Pep boys, they refused to take the diagnostic from the sister pep boys, and charged me $100.00 for the diagnostic. I was expecting them to say the same thing that the other pep boys said, but the worker, Miguel, who was "helping" me, said "those guys are incompetent and do not know what they are doing" Multiple times this man degraded not only the entire pep boys location on Crenshaw, he degraded the workers in that store. I told him I would call the other pep boys since Miguel was saying that there was no misfire in the car, and the diagnostic he showed said I need $3,500 dollars worth of work, and that I needed to replace the entire radiator (due to an accident) which was not the case,

he then went on to tell me e was going to charge me $500 dollar part fee regardless if I brig my own parts in or not.

I am demanding my $100 dollar diagnostic fee as I have him on the recorded line overcharging me for things that are not even wrong with the car.

I ended up not getting service from them since they were incredibly unfair in their quote as I am a 28 year old woman and was in distress. He completely took advantage of the opportunity and I was forced to pay the fee even though I knew he was wrong. I took my car to another local mechanic and he preceded to tell me after his own diagnostic, that the original Pep boys in Crenshaw was right and it just needed to smoke the car and plug the spark plug back in. Because of their incompetence and misuse of their abilities I am requesting the refund of $100. Not to mention I had to spend $200 dollars on top of the $100 to tow the car to another mechanic, just for them to say the original pep boys was correct. This is completely unfair as I have been a customer of Pep boys and my family has used this service for over 10 years.
