Yesterday I called Rite Aid to validate the RX after they left a voice mail message that it was ready. They always give me times to choose for pick-up and but it seems like it's never complete. When I input the info, their system validated one RX but not the other so I forwarded to speak to a PERSON and was on hold for 30 minutes. Then the recording told me to leave our name, number and RX info and they would call back (at 11:00 am). The entire day and no call back. I stopped by this morning and they had ONE RX ready and I asked where the other one was. They apologized and told me they'd have if for me in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later they called me back to the window and I paid and left. Got home and it was 20 mg instead is 80 mg. Not even her prescribed amount! I was pretty angry when I called back and demanded they have the right one ready for me cuz I'm tired of driving 9 miles every time I pick up RX. I would have them deliver but the person I care for has too many Dr appts to work around when Rite can deliver and they want 3 or 4 hour time spans AND someone has to be home. They never even notified me before delivery even though they told me a couple of months ago that they will only deliver when I request it. Several times I have done call in refills and select an option of morning or afternoon. One time I was a day late and they had not even started the refills and asked me to wait and asked me to wait about an hour. I can't leave a disabled person in a hot car for that long while I'm waiting for her RX…so I said I'll come back in an hour. I came back in a little OVER an hour and it still wasn't ready. I had to take my sister home (9 miles) to come back down and pick it up. One clerk told me one day great it was all because of COVID that they are backlogged? I go there so often for my sister's meds that I don't even have to say her name…they know it! One call in was on a Friday and it wasn't even ready on the following Monday. There was a special cream a doctor prescribed for a skin infection and they didn't carry it so they had to order it. The next day they gave her months supply (12 tubes)? Maybe I need to change pharmacies? I called a customer complaint line and couldn't understand the person who sounded like he was from India or something. I can take emails at [protected]@hotmail.com
