This Burger King has always been a problem every time we go here, that today is the last straw. I have to file this complaint because the way I was treated was unacceptable. First of all, the drive-thru intercom was not working properly to where both me and the cashier were yelling back and forth at each other trying to communicate. And no matter what I said, my order still came out wrong. The fact that the cashier couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her should have been just cause for the cashier to allow me to go directly to the window and take my order, but instead, when I got to the window, I got scolded by the cashier yelling at me, "I had already asked you..." to which I responded, "You heard me wrong because you're equipment outside doesn't work because you couldn't hear me." I found out that this back and forth bickering and arguing was from no less then the manager, Melissa. Melissa's actions were unacceptable especially acting they way she was acting in front of her entire staff. After I requested for the receipt to correct the order, another cashier gave me 4 drinks. I didn't order 4 drinks. I only had 2 drinks. I pointed this out to where the cashier gave handed my food in a bag that was torn. The worst of this situation was that he didn't reach out to give me the bag. The cashier had me reach out for the bag but I couldn't reach it. At that point, the bag ripped and all my food fell on the floor inside the restaurant. That's how much he didn't try and hand me my bag of food. Worst yet, the cashier had put my 5 sandwiches in one bag. Is that how they are taught to pack food? Then Melissa, the manager scolded me and told me that I should have parked my truck closer, to which I explained that I can't do that because my side mirrors on my truck extend out and I wasn't going to hit the window with my side mirrors. I then told her that your worker didn't have a problem handing me the 4 drinks and that I don't know why he didn't extend his arm out to hand me my food properly. Then I requested to speak with the manager. That's when I found out that Melissa was the manager, which surprised me because how can someone so rude and unprofessional be the manager? After I requested for the name of their supervisor, and finding out that it was Melissa, that's when Melissa kept telling me to have a nice day and wanted me to leave, but that was not possible because the male cashier spilled my food and threw it away in the trash so obviously I wasn't going to leave until I received my food. But that's when Melissa kept trying to dismiss me from the drive thru by telling me to have a good day, but I told that I didn't receive my food. That's when she told me to go park and I told her that her employee didn't tell me that. After 15 minutes of parking and waiting for my food, I went inside to ask where my food was. They only had my fries and my chicken nuggets under their heating lamp and haven't started my burgers. Needless to say, I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food, both the manager and the cashier refused to speak to me to rectify the mistakes that they made and stayed in the back. When I finally received my food from another worker, all my 5 burgers were put together very messily. My husband heard the whole ordeal because I was the phone with him. He had warned me that they would sabotage our meal and surely it was. The burgers looked as if they just threw everything sloppily and wrapped it up tightly where the bun was completely soggy and not delectable. Our fries and chicken nuggets were completely cold because it was sitting for 30 minutes for them to finish my burgers. This was completely unacceptable. My family ended up not eating our food and ended up throwing it away in fear that it was somehow tampered with. I hope you understand that if you experienced the rudeness and unprofessionalism that we experienced from the Burger King crew in that restaurant, you probably would also feel as if the food was somehow tampered with. If Burger King is allowing disrespectful, immature young adults represent their company, then I will no longer patronize this business. Melissa needs to know that she should feel lucky that she has a job because we are still in a pandemic and people are still begging to be employed. For the owner of this establishment to employ people like Melissa who have no basic knowledge managerial skills and customer service is completely irresponsible and idiotic on the part of the owner of this Burger King franchise in Pinole. If you decide to keep Melissa employed, she needs to learn basic customer service skills because she needs to know that a huge part of her job is customer service.
Desired outcome: Melissa needs training in being a manager and also needs training in customer service. The workers also need training in basic customer service.
