TERRIBLE COMPANY; WILL NEVER AGAIN SHOP AT VIVA TERRA! I was a returning customer this year and ordered a coat rack & vases and spent over $400.00 on the order in late November; 48 hours later, both products were discounted. I called to see whether they would give me a retroactive discount and/or cancel the order (it had not shipped), so that I could re-order at the discounted rate. "No." Most vendors will do this, but not Viva Terra. So, I re-ordered the items with the intent to ship back the original ones by contacting their returns department and getting a shipping label. I knew I'd be responsible for the shipping - as it states on their site - but of course, it should be at the discounted corp shipping price they have right? NO. The coat rack was shipped to be in a HUGE package (even though it is a piece you assemble). This is a 4 foot by 2 ft by 2 ft package and Viva Terra will not provide a shipping label or their discounted price to ship back. So, the coat rack is $298 and to ship it back, I have to pay $285. Or, I can ship back by US post office - but if I do that - it may not arrive during their return window. Their customer service people don't talk to you either, they just repeat phrases like "we appreciate your business but that is our policy, " over and over until you tire of it. If you ask to speak to a supervisor or manager - they'll put you on hold forever and then someone else gets on the phone to repeat the same phrases.
