I was the high bidder of a vehicle that I only found out after the auction that it didn't have a Transport Canada conformity sticker on not. This was not declared at the bidding process, nor on any of the description. The owner of the vehicle understood all this and was quite reasonable. He said he will simply relist the car should I not want to spend thousands of $ to bring it to Canadian conformity and spend 2-4 months waiting to get the vehicle registered. Bring a Trailer will then of course get their fees from the next auction of the same vehicle.
Bat initially refused to return the fees given that it is up to me to find this out prior to bidding, which is hard to do without the information that is proprietary to the vehicle's seller. There are laws in place for double-dipping ergo getting fees twice for the same car without it changing hands is illegal.
I simply want my fees returned.
Desired outcome: Reversal of fees.

Well bearing this I'd sure as heck talk to the sellers as much as is.possible.before bidding. I might not have been this vigilant prior to reading all this bat talk as i mistakenly was under the opinion that they were a professional company and.legit. Now I am reminded that taking any net company for granted is ridic. At my age i must be slippin in that I'd learned this lesson early in life and now had to be reminded thru another's pain. Thanks for saving me from likely scammers.
