I have a service animal and have been staying with my boyfriend and my seizure alert service dog at San Ramon Bishop Ranch West for about a month. We have never had any issues, have been cleaning our room ourselves to prevent the spread of Covid19, replacing linens and towels minimally. After almost a month of staying here, I brought down the fleece blanket that was on the bed and requested a new one. It had dog fur on it from my registered service dog who the hotel is aware of and the woman behind the front desk was extremely rude because there was pet hair. I would have just washed the blanket myself but being that it would have been washed 2 times with regular housekeeping services according to their policy, I assumed she would understand the need to switch it out. The next morning when I went down to again, extend my stay, I was told I was placed on the DO NOT RENT list because of my service dogs' hair on a blanket. First of all, the hair was not excessive and second of all, that is total discrimination and highly illegal. I will be speaking with a lawyer and demanding the company somehow rectify this situation. Not only did this cause unnecessary stress on someone known for having epileptic episodes, it has made the stay here extremely uncomfortable especially after having been here for so long. I am embarrassed and appalled by this establishment.
