Dear Starbucks Customer Service Team,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing incident that occurred involving a Starbucks coffee cup, resulting in serious injuries and considerable discomfort. I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for more than 15 years and have always enjoyed the quality of your products and the welcoming atmosphere in your stores.
However, on 08/04/2023, I experienced an incident that has left me deeply concerned and in considerable pain. I had purchased a cup of hot coffee from the Starbucks location at 860 Hopper Ave, Santa Rosa, CA. (The store number is 3456), which I intended to enjoy during my drive on the highway. Regrettably, due to a defect in the coffee cup's design or construction, when I grabbed the coffee and tried to have my very first sip, the cup failed to contain the hot coffee properly. As a result, the cup collapsed and the entire contents of the cup spilled onto my hand and leg while I was driving on the Highway. I can show you the pictures of my burned skin and receipt of the coffee.
The scalding hot coffee caused severe burns to my hand and thigh, resulting in multiple blisters and significant pain. I had to pull over immediately to tend to my injuries and seek medical attention. This incident has not only caused physical harm but has also shaken my confidence in the quality and safety of Starbucks products.
I kindly request a thorough investigation into the design and manufacturing of the coffee cup that caused this unfortunate incident. It is imperative that Starbucks ensures the safety of its customers by identifying any potential defects and taking immediate corrective measures.
Moreover, I strongly believe that Starbucks should take this incident as an opportunity to review and enhance its quality control processes to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Because this also happened to one of my friends. The well-being and safety of your customers should remain a top priority.
