February 23, 2023 purchase was made at Lazy boy furniture; a turner power wall sofa, a Riley high leg power reclining chair along with 2 two end tables, a floor lamp and shade and a Logan circle ottoman.
Two employees were involved in the sale with us at the same time.
As a 121 lb. 5foot woman, we purchased the chair because we were told it indeed could be motorized like the sofa and that is what we expected.
The lack of communication between the sales manager, designer and customer was an comedy of errors. Having felt our needs were understood we later found out that neither the salesman nor the designer communicated regarding the power chair, unbeknownst to us. Also, when WE questioned the designer about the floor lamp that was supposed to be boxed, she explained that the store manager sold our lamp to someone else and we received the floor model. We voiced our concerns when the designer arrived after the delivery and said it would be handled. The 24th we were quoted
price to correct the issue (caused by them) and lazyboy needed to get the chair out the next day. Not only were we not able to get a hold of the designer let alone anyone in store after several calls from us, to comply with their demand. We left several messages with each call we made.
There are several other issues that needed to be resolved and with no one to address these to we are now in the third of the furniture which will void the entire problem. We on good faith complied with their demands and now are still not hearing from lazy boy. We feel we did what they required and now they won't even return our calls. We found that they lied to us and grossly misrepresented their product, which is extremely unacceptable and disapointing. Our hands are tied and the product was falsly represented with no concern to the customer.
In full disclosure, the price they charged us was for the incorrect chair and not only added more monies for the replacement, they want to charge additional monies for the correct chair, restocking and pu and delivery charges again. Is this how lazyboy makes more money. The store manager quoted a charge (as a side job he has to pu our old sofa and refurbish it and give to the needy which we were pleased to hear, the day before delivery, he phones to say he wasn't able to honor his sidejob commitment.
Desired outcome: Get what we needed and correct the situation and in good faith write off the difference as they made the mistake on pricing for the wrong chair.
