Denny's - Establishment verbally abused customer

Here's my story: While dining at the Benning Road NE DC Denny's, I was treated horribly. I'm a stickler about getting what a store or restaurant advertises... no exceptions especially if you don't inform me if there is a change or if I order something that you know as my waiter or waitress is considered an add on. So, my Princess and I were finishing up our meal and the waiter decided to bring me the check. Because I work with numbers on a daily basis, I could see there was something wrong with my total. Therefore, I pulled my phone out and began totaling the check on the phone's calculator and noticed there was indeed a difference. I brought it to the waitress attention, and she went and got the manager. So, you want to charge me almost $.69 for a half of cheese saying it's an add on. I informed the manager I was not paying that. It's not the money I had the problem with. Your waiter said children eat FREE which means the cheese was a part of the meal. I'm only paying for the two drinks and my meal. This waiter and the manager on duty got smart and I almost flipped the table but GOD.

The waitress called me stupid and said I was stingy. The manager also verbally abused me in front of my daughter saying look how you are showing your daughter how to act. She said I was teaching my daughter to act poorly.

All I could do was look at my daughter and began to be thankful I had been redeemed.

Meanwhile, I told the manager to take my meal off the check and allow me to pay for what my daughter had eaten. Now the bill is $12.06 so I give her $13.00 and inform her to give the change to the waitress. The manager says to me "Oh no, you need your change crying over $.69. I continue to proceed to exit the store until the manager walks over to my daughter trying to hand the change to my child. Now this is where I almost lost my cool but again BUT GOD! I told the manager she can say or do anything to me but when it comes to my child that's when I draw the line. I reached for my daughter and we left.

The next day I contacted the corporate office, and I am now waiting on a return call. I will not let this end in this fashion.

Desired outcome: For someone to contact me and the two individuals at the Denny's location to apologize to me in front of my 6yr old daughter in addition, take customer service etiquette training.
