Publix at Miami River 311 SW 7 St Miami Fl 33135 Store Manager Luis Alejandro [protected] 4/19/2021 around 19:54. I attempted to inform the manager that the security guard was in the parking lot with the red and blue lights on which is wrong. She Nxxxx, angrily expressed she would not tell the security guard/ police officer that the lights need to be off. I explained that I would contact Mr. Rxxx the Regional Manager and she said she didn't care to call him. After going back and forth with her and the commotion she was making drawing unneeded attention to our conversation and openly disturbing other customers she exclaimed that she was going on break, and sharply turned and went into the manager's office. I returned home and called Mr. Rxxx and left a voice message at his number. I'm awaiting his call about this, as we've spoken before about those red and blue lights on at that store and the image it portrays when customers see them. I normally offer the store manager the first opportunity to rectify any situation at his store, but after calling this morning, finding he's not there I chose to share this with the public. Oh, we spend near to $1,000 per month in that same store, because we like shopping there. Just because I shop in there so often does not open the door for a Publix employee to get overly friendly to the point that they feel comfortable talking to me in any way they choose, I don't think that that's Publix policy. Desired outcome: I'd like everyone to be aware of the policies in place and for the customers to be treated and spoken to respectfully always.
