Aerotek - unethical and unprofessional behavior

I hope someone gets to read my story as it has been very difficult and frustrating situation Ive had to endure while trying to find a job with Aerotek. I have been working with recruiter named Jacob Castor from the Orlando Fl office i had applied for the position of medical billing and customer service with their client Alere. completed my interview, background checks, and drug test. The day after I completed my drug test, I received a call from Mr Castor telling me that my drug test hadn't arrived yet so I immediately forwarded a copy of my urinalysis completed form to him to show proof, apparently some issue with the labs internet caused the delay. Jacob then said that it would be resolved and I needed to do nothing else. During this time I had been receiving unemployment benefits from my previous employer and continued to look for other work in the mean time. Towards the end of November 18' I was informed by my recruiter that I would have a start date of December 5. At this point I declined all prospective employers as I was promised by my recruiter that I had a start date. I also received a letter from the unemployment office that my benefits had been suspended due to Aerotek showing me as being employed by them. So fast forward to December 1st and I don't get a call from Mr. Castor. I waited an extra day and eventually called him myself to find out my work status. Mr Castor then tells me that the client, Alere hasn't reached out and he didn't know when I would start. I explained to him how much this would affect me as I'm no longer getting my unemployment benefits check to support my family while I waited for this empty promise of a start date. Mr Castor also informed me that i needed to confirm employment dates for a previous job I had so i personally drove 1 hour away from home to the IRS office to pickup a wage and income transcript to complete my background check. So it's now the end of December and Aerotek has yet to give me a start date and I'm still not receiving my unemployment benefits because Aerotek still has me and an employee and will not contact the unemployment office to make the correction. I've asked him and the recruiting manager (Jeannette Williams) to please help accommodate me with Alere or help find me another job but till this day I'm still waiting. This experience has been extremely exhausting and has put a big strain in my life financially. I'm at a point now that I may lose my car and unable to pay for bare necessities because of Aerotek's inability to do their job. I don't know if this message will get to the right person or if anything will be done for that matter but I do hope someone does read this and see the pain and suffering this has caused me and my family.

Aerotek - worst staffing company, idiots for recruiters horrible company

aerotek has to be one of the WORST companies ever for staffing etc. I went to a so-called 'job fair' for a company. I was treated like dirt since I was the last person being interviewed. The females all gave me derogatory attitude and looks...I already knew I wasnt going to get the job before the stupid female ### even interviewed me. She hadnt even seen my resume yet but I knew i wasn't going to get hired. I was spoken down to during the really bad interview--these are recruiting professionals? Shawna the ### who interviewed me was horrible...rude, weird...asked strange questions very rudely...overall I was overqualified as a candidate for the position. I had many years of that particular position, and most people who are hiring for that who see my resume hire me immediately. Yet, the aerotek idiots then threw in the phrase of "we're looking for people who have done this the past 3 years." How ironic--I had been doing a different job the past three years on my resume...(really three years?) How convenient...yet I also mentioned I was doing something related to that and had a ton of experience in it...but that didn't matter. In fact, I was selling products from that very company they were hiring for itself...that I guess just wasn't qualification enough. I was asked--well if you have two jobs already, (unstable ones on the side) why are you applying for this one? Hey, (idiot) because its a stable permanent position you ###...the way it was asked was really rude too as if---why on earth are u looking for a job if you already are working in a job? Shawna the interviewer was VERY rude unprofessional...weird...so it didnt matter that I was selling products as an independent contractor for the very company I was applying a position for, had years of experience for the specific job, and was very qualified. They seemed to find tons of excuses to not hire me. I had a mediocre 5 minute fake interview and was let go after I had to wait there 45 minutes...I left a message for another recruiter when I left complaining of my treatment and how I didnt feel I got a fair interview and was more than qualified for the position...again I was told by the idiot recruiter---(im not sure who hires these idiots or if aerotek is even legitimate at all)...that theyre looking for sales people who have been doing that for the past three years. Again how weird that prior to 3 years, I had been doing call center work, but 3 years ago started something else...but was also doing sales as well...ironic that 3 years seemed to be the cut off date...so the company was looking for someone who had been in a call center in the past 3 years...that seems to be the most pathetic excuse ive ever heard of or bizarre requirement...I bet had my resume stated two years, they would have been throwing the two years in the picture...even being an independent rep for the products didnt qualify me as a candidate---aerotek has the most unprofessional idiotic staff of fake recruiters ive ever heard of for a company like that...they are stupid weird...rude...pitiful and im not sure what they hire people based on but its surely isnt qualifications. They are unprofessional ###s during their ridiculous interviews and have no clue how to interview or hire people. It seems like a bunch of stuck up recent college grads doing it and they are stupid very stupid people...unethical unprofessional and pitiful. They even said "we may have more positions that are suited for your qualifications"...wtf? honestly...there arent more positions suited for my qualifications...THAT is the one position that is completely suited for my qualifications...in fact im sure if an engineer walked in there those incompetent losers and ###s would be telling him hes not qualified for an engineering job but they can find something better suited for him...you will not find a group of more incompetent ###s for recruiters---beware of this horrible company and its lack of everything...

Aerotek - discrimination, not fair chances to employees, not fair interviews, reject candidates before even interviewing them

I went to a job interview and was discriminated I feel by the HR person there by the name of Shawna. Ive been to many job interviews in my life and its easy to assess who or what is discriminating against someone. For me I recall this happening to me many years ago at a staples where the female HR people were being blatantly rude lying to me and nto giving me a fair chance at a job there. It was a very bad experience. Needless to say the experience at aerotek wasn't horrible but it was stil what I feel was discrimination. I went a 'job fair' they were having for a company. I was the last person to get interviewed. I waited 30 minutes, while witnessing everyone else sit in the rooms for at least 15 minutes or more with the recruiters. The females were all giving me strange looks and I had a feeling i was not going to get a chance if I interviewed with any of them. After 30 minutes or more it was my turn adn instead of treating me like a real candidate, the female who approached me was not friendly, and acted as if she was going to sit there and "give me a few minutes" to chat as she said. She basically already wasn't going to hire me before even interviewing me. I knew before my 'semi interview' i was not going to get hired--which is very rare. Generally you go into an interview, get a fair shot and then find otu the results. In this case based on the negative treatment by some fo the women there and the comment made by the female, I already knew I wasn't hired and she acted as if she was just taking me in b/c I was sitting out there. She literally said "Ok well I can sit with you for a few minutes" (then get u out of here which was how she was acting) which si absurd since I went in there for a real interview with my resume, hoping to get a fair chance at a job fair. During the interview--she was brash and rude and asked me 10 questions about my previous employment with a bad attitude..."why did u leave this job" "why did u do this"..."why did u do that"...nothing I said was right-she was also being rude and drilling me in a rude way so that no matter what I said it was wrong and it was obvious she had no interest or desire to even treat me as a potential candidate--she also kept asking me what other companies I had interviewed with--many times which was unnecessary...almost as if I wasn't good enough to even think about getting a position with the company...also the manner in which she asked questions was just very rude and abrasive...it was obvious not only did she have no initial desire to hire me or give me a fair chance, she wanted to make my experience was negative as possible before she finally just rejected me...also it was a sales/call center position...my specialty is sales/call center experience...Ive done it for many years..I'm an expert at the position...Ive also done a lot of sales...she then claimed I hadn't done any 'recent sales' which I had to correct her as I did...either way it didn't matter--she wanted to sit there with me literally for a few minutes and reject me which I already knew...that is not an interview or even close to a fair interview...so even though I had recent experience, and all the qualifications, she really just wanted to not give me any chacne with the position whatsoever from the beginning. This is odd as this is a job fair--and the recruiting they aer doing is very shoddy and not right. There are many bad recruiters out there who use their personal bias towards someone as grounds for hiring or not hiring---the female who did the interviewing was very rude and weird...her name was 'shawna' and i already knew she wasn't going to hire me the moment she opened her mouth and took me in the room...sorry but a professional staffing company has no right treating potential candidates in this way and it is ridiculous...maybe it is females who are jealous of other females in some way and decide to treat them this way...but I know I was not given a fair interview and the female basically just wanted to go through the motions so she could reject me without even looking at my resume...great job fair this company holds... very rude women who reject people before even meeting them or even looking at their resume... just beware before even attempting to go through this so-called 'staffing company' for any job position at all-- they dont hire based on experience or qualifications-- they seem to discriminate for no reason and treat people not so well...
