I made a reservation at Jonathan's Landing in Dover, DE. I read the reservation request the next day there was a note that they were not accepting oui-of-state players due to a governor's covid19 order. I called the golf course and they didn't know about it. I tried to submit a cancellation with golf now but they wouldn't accept it. I was unable to get through by phone. Should I contact the better business bureau. They've got a pretty good racket going.

GolfNow - Golf reservation service refund / credit policy not being followed
I have been using GolfNow for several years and this was the first time I had to cancel a tee time due to an unexpected meeting. I called and actually got through and was told to cancel online and that I would not be able to get a refund however I would receive a credit that I could use on my next reservation. I thought this was odd since all the previous times I made reservations I was only charged the service fee and paid the green fee at the course.
I went ahead and canceled online via the mobile app and received confirmation of the cancellation. As soon as the cancellation went through a charge for the green fee appeared on my bank statement for $40.58. I thought no worries as I would be receiving a credit for future golf.
It is now a week later and no credit. All the customer service numbers have recorded messages directing you to the website and the live chat option gives a message that you already have an open chat which I know nothing about.
I am just trying to confirm my credit will be posted
GolfNow - Gift card return
I purchased a gift card On May 8th or 9th, 2020, for my husband not knowing that he does not like to use GolfNow. He looked at the website and saw that the gift card could be returned. I called and spoke to a person there on May 11th. That person told me he would write up a claim and someone would be returning my call in 4-5 business days. I have not heard from anyone from GolfNow. I have tried calling, emailing, and using their chat like the message asks you to do but still get no response. Today makes a month since I spoke with that person, I'm sorry I didn't get his name. I would like to get this card returned but they don't seem to want to help.
Thank you,

GolfNow - Failure to issue credit or refund on cancelled tee time
I booked a tee time at Arrowhead golf course in Wheaton IL on Monday, 4/22/19, using the Golf Now website associated with Arrowhead. The time I wanted was at 11:37 am on Wednesday 4/24 and I prepaid using my credit card. Unfortunately, I erroneously booked it for Thursday, 4/25. I realized my error in 5 min and called the course to make the change. The course told me that the online bookings are handled by GolfNow and and they could not refund my money but would cancel the incorrect tee time.
I called a number for GolfNow that was given to me by Arrowhead. I was able to immediately reach an agent (Chip) on the phone. Chip explained that since it was a "hot deal" they could not refund my money. I was a little taken back as all courses I've played for 30 years will refund your money prior to 24 hours of tee time, or at least issue credit for use at another time. Most don't require prepayment (Arrowhead does not require prepayment if the time is booked over the phone).
I think Chip sensed my displeasure and offered either coupons or gift certificates that would total up to the amount that was charged to my card ($209.00). These would be sent by email and I should have "within 60 seconds". I was told I could use these coupons/certificates at any course associated with GolfNow. Chip was very nice and I told him that offer would be fine. I hung up not waiting for the email to hit my mailbox while I had him on the phone.
I checked my credit card online on 4/24 and it showed the charge as paid but I still have not received any coupons/certificates. I have checked my spam mailbox and nothing. I tried calling the number I called on Monday and the automated response said that you can no longer reach anyone at this number and that all customer service issues must be resolved online. It is supposed to take 7-10 working days to resolve.
This whole operation seems poorly thought out and feels like a scam, although I'm sure had I not made a mistake in originally booking the time, all would be good. But who has not made a mistake or had to change times when booking a tee time? Happens all the time, especially when one person is booking the foursome.
I would caution anyone using this service and the golf courses that bought into this service, to be aware of this situation. If I owned a golf course, I would be concerned that this type of service will reflect poorly on my course and would either discontinue using GolfNow or offer some kind of relief to the golfer who falls into the same trap I did.
Also I cannot find any customer service phone number or email address to contact Golf Now on their website. There are instructions on how to dispute a charge but really this company is sorely lacking in basic customer service when compared to Amazon, Zappos, or other mature online merchants.
it appears golfnow is in the business of taking peoples money by ways of loopholes they have created. after trading about 5 or 6 intense emails, they just totally stopped emailing me. they took 100 bucks from me and tried to give me 5 codes, valued at 20 each. if they did it to me once, why would i go back and give them more money, those people are as stupid as it comes. im considering legal action, just to return the favor so they can see how it feels to get ripped off.
GolfNow - Online tee time reservations
GolfNow,
I've been playing golf at the Somerset County Golf courses for over thirty years. I get very little time to play as I still work. I love to play as it relieves me of the agony with work, a time to be out with nature, good friends and the joy of the game.
However, GolfNow has now surpassed any agony I experience at work. The GolfNow tee time registration and administration is the worst software application ever. I've been implementing software for my entire career and I've seen a lot of troubling issues creep into an installation. But none worse than GolfNow.
The employees here at Somerset County are sincerely aggravated and we golfers are even more disturbed. Going online is just as bad as trying to get a tee time or pay at the course. And calling GolfNow to get answers to issues, we're expected to wait 25 minutes to even talk to a service agent.
GolfNow, you're a dog! Golf BowWow!

GolfNow - Online tee time
On Saturday 1/19 I was looking on teams at Star Ranch Golf Club in Hutto Texas. I pulled up a Hot Deal and accidentally booked a tee time for 4 people for the Monday Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I immediately cancelled the time within 5 minutes of booking as it was clearly a mistake. I spoke to customer service several times and they refused to give me a refund. They provided a credit for future golf rounds that only be use during limited times, and that would not fit with my work schedule. I would like a refund as they were able to quickly fill my tee time to another group at the course that day.
