Newegg - No fraud protection for your credit card at newegg. The thief works there.
Almost $2, 000 charged to my credit card that I used one month ago (October '15) at newegg and to office depot. I believe the thief works at newegg and got all the info from my card and used it or sold it to someone. There is no fraud protection at newegg so I would not deal with them. The card was only a few days old when we used it and it was only used once at newegg.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
We apologize for the trouble you have had. We do our best to ensure our site is safe to use of our site. We encrypt our checkout process and do not have this issue commonly. We even employee an entire department dedicated to verifying orders and monitoring for suspicious actively. If we can do anything to help, email us at wecare@newegg.com.
