Blue World Pools - Worst service, and expectations not upheld!

I purchased my pool in 03/2021. I was told the pool was $17,000 with a $3,000 discount to be a show pool. Discounts for doing online reviews. I got a call to upgrade the pool, same payment $400.00 monthly same discounts same payments and drop the interest rate, was not suppose to pay anymore, would have the pool paid in full in 5 years. I agree, what is 5 years like a car note, no big deal. Pool is set up 3 months later NO big deal its a rainy summer. Once it's set up it is not level, the pool is higher on the Left side than on the pump side, and the Ladder is cracked and then Broke because of the crack. I have been told 3 times this Ladder has been shipped, and we have never gotten it. I had a collections rep call summer 2022 advised I was behind in my payments. This was not true, because the payment is drafted from my account. She rude and threatening, until she realized she was wrong. Then I asked her what was the balance, what was the total amount and what was the full finance months. She advised a 20 year note, and 25,000! What are you kidding me! NO, I never agreed to this! I asked her to send me copies of all my paper work where I signed this. She told me she would, This never happened as did the ladder never came! I called today to assist with changing the payments to weekly vs bi weekly which she did assist with. I advised the above issues with the papers and she told me sure we can send that for a fee of $200.00. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! that is not acceptable at all! You have not upheld anything you have stated on your calls, and either your customer service is trash and lied to me on the phone, your you lied when you set up my order / sales. I have been asking for this to be resolved NO resolution!

Desired outcome: I would like these issues resolved! NOT lies included.

Blue World Pools - Service department

We signed up for a pool beginning of June and were told give it 3 to 6 weeks for install. With having to call company multiple times we finally got our pool which was upgraded to a classic 24ft installed August 30th. Started filling the pool that night. Next day picked up all trash left from install so we thought and mowed our yard being super careful around pool. Not realizing it the mower hit a piece of metal into pool causing a hole through outside into liner. We called service department unsure of what to do and they had us send them pictures (twice) and told us give them 48hrs to get back to us with a time for someone to come fix and it wouldnt cost us anything because we dont have metal in our yard so only place it could have come from is the installers. told us if we didnt hear from them to call them back. we called back tuesday the 6th for them to tell us sorry but we arent fixing it. we dont fix damage caused by customer. Then they hung up on my husband! lets not forget they dont tell you they may put a lien on your house if you choose to finance no you see that in the paper work when its time to sign! I will be leaving this review with the BBB as well because they have very poor customer service. they are only nice and helpful til they have you hooked then its sry nothing we can do. you get a manufacturers warranty and then their super extra warranty if u get a midline or classic but it covers nothing more than the mamufacturers warranty so what good is it? So now I have a hole in my brand new pool that has never been filled or swam in that is a "model pool" that im supposed to somehow fix. I should have paod better attention to all the bad reviews on better busoness bureaus site before signing anything.

Desired outcome: Would have liked it fixed free of charge like we were originally told they would do and for them to get kinder service personnel

Blue World Pools - Above ground pool sales in house financing

I went through the training for this company and declined to ever sell any product for them when I learned what the company was really about.

A sales person will come to your house initially to discuss where you want to put the $399 ad pool. When this is completed, he will then go back inside and proceed to attempt to sell you a pool that depending on the size, will range in cost from $17,000 to over $27,000. You are also tying the pool, a depreciating asset, to your real property via a UCC-1 general lien if you use in house financing. I will go in detail about this later as until the pool is paid off, your property can not be sold.

First off, the ad pool is never meant to be sold. In order to actually buy it, the customer has to jump through unbelievable hoops such as perfect site prep, liability insurance policy covering Blue World Pools’ installer, picking up the pool in GA, or getting the pool delivered to the house is about $400 give or take. The company actually loses a few thousand dollars if these ad pools are installed because the cost of installation is more than the cost of the pool. It will be installed right though and the company will back it up. They are ethical in this area as they do stand behind any pool that they sell. The customer’s actual total cost for this pool is going to be about $2,000-$3500 depending on the cost of labor for site prep, and insurance policy.

So, the sales person will proceed to show you pools ranging in price from about 18-27 thousand installed. Quite a jump. That is not the beginning though. The cost of financing if the customer goes in house is 34.5% for 144 months. About half of the customers use this option because it is convenient, on the paperwork, provided to the sales person, and really the only option in a lot of cases. Average monthly payment is about $550.00. So, your pool will wind up costing you about $79,000 if you take the full term to pay. You also have to put from $2,000 to $5,000 down as a down payment, so the actual cost is about $81,000 to $90,000 when one considers the time value of your down payment over the 12 years and the interest.

If you want one of these pools, and can finance it any other way, including a credit card, do that. I will go into more detail later, but never go with in house financing.

I can not stress this enough. If in house financing is your only option, don’t buy the pool.

Blue World Pools is not going to repossess a pool. The labor would be crazy and the pool is virtually impossible to use again as it is difficult to do without ripping the liner to shreds. (Although the liner is also good quality and will last a long time if not moved. It is similar to what is used in backyard fish ponds.) They only sell to land owners because they also make you sign a UCC-1 blanket lien against your property so if you ever sell, the proceeds, if any, from the sale will go to paying for the pool after the first mortgage is paid off. It does not matter if you never missed a payment, because no finance company is going to give the new buyer financing until that lien is satisfied.

As with any loan of this type, the payments are interest heavy up front. This means that you are paying more in interest than principal at first, but if the property is sold, the remaining principal is still due meaning that you could end up paying BWP several thousand dollars more than you thought you would for a pool that the new property owner will get to enjoy.

The sales person is trained to tell you that the pool can move with you, be sold, but this is very, very difficult because over time wear and tear on the frame and liner becomes a factor. Also, just moving something like this that has been installed for even a few years is quite a chore and one that 99% of people will not want to tackle during a move. Not to mention the fact that even if you do take the pool with you, the pool is tied to the property it is on, so it would still have to be paid off in full prior to you moving.

As for selling the pool, it is possible, but the discount would have to be tremendous, as why would anyone want to pay anything close to full price for an item that is so labor intensive to move, set up, etc. when they can just go to BWP and buy it new with the install included? To give you an idea of how labor intensive it is, the company requires the land owner to allow a Bobcat access to the site for prep work on a new install. Also, the pool is tied to the property, so it has to be paid off prior to selling.

So, when you sign on the dotted line to buy one of these, and use in house financing, you are agreeing to buy an item that is worth at best $9,000-$10,000 installed for $18,000 and up, depending on what you negotiate. You are agreeing to pay 34.5% interest over a 12 year period so total cost is $81,000-$90,000. You are tying an above ground pool to your real property via the UCC-1 blanket lien so if that property is ever sold, proceeds go to pay for the pool after the mortgage is paid in full.

Desired outcome: Educate the public

Blue World Pools - Mid line pool

I bought a pool back in 2018 this was one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my life. At first, everything was great until I read into the contract. The salesman that came to my house made the presentation he was pushy to sign the contract at the time I was thinking about my kids having a pool, and how excited they were. The contract was not read just signed since the salesman said: "Hey if you want to cancel just call me I will take care of it". You do not need to read it I will explain to you what it says. You have 3 days to read it thoughtly. After reading the contract, and looking at reviews I was shocked. He never mentioned putting a lien over my property now I can not sell until I pay the pool off. The thing that I do not like I get no statements to see where I am with my loan. The times I have called to get the balance the person that spoked with me tells me to have my bank call them to pay off the loan.

The pool started to have issued 4 months later I called to see what was wrong. I was told to write a 5-star review and they can replace the parts for me or pay the 500 for part replacement. I decided to write fake reviews as long as my pool was fixed. At the time of purchase, I tried to cancel they kept giving me the turnaround, and them stating they will be charging me half of the pool if I did not get it installed. I decided to go through the installation. Since I said if I am going to pay might as well have the pool. If anyone decides to sew these scam artists I will be more than happy to be part of this. I just do not want anyone to be scammed since I am stuck with this ridiculous debt.

By the time I am done paying the pool, it will be worthless so many issues I been having with it. They say they will send someone to fix it but I have to pay out of pocket. Please do not buy with them do not be another victim because that is where I stand I felt I was scammed I wish they would have just been straight forward with me. Now I am stuck making payments for 10 years 350 a month. I was scared to submit this since they are good at bullying people. The people that answer calls no customer service what so ever rude people. I wonder why is this company still running after scamming so many people.

Blue World Pools - Way they do business

They pulled my credit without my sis number. Not cool I am telling you don't call them. All I did was inquire about prices. The person who called me sounded like she was either so sick she couldn't hardly speak or getting ready to cry. She took my name and address for the appointment and said the would have to pull credit. I thought it would be at the appointment. Not once did she ask for my social. So I set the appointment, but the next day there was an inquiry on my credit. Do not deal with these sneaky people.

Blue World Pools - After bleach the colour of the water was completely different

We bought pool from the company Blue World Pools. The pool was delivered on time and the maintenance was easy. The rep advised us to use the bleach once and told that water would remain clear for whole summer. But after 3 weeks water was dirty and the colour was grey or green, we cleaned it again with the bleach, but this situation repeated again. The company hasn’t commented this situation.

IF THEY SAID THIS -- "The rep advised us to use the bleach once and told that water would remain clear for whole summer." THEN EITHER THEY LIED OR ARE INCOMPETENT AND STUPID. All pools need shock (bleach) every week throughout swimming season. No treatment will last for an entire swimming season.

Blue World Pools - Scam and cheating

The biggest ripoff in 2007 & 2008 is Blue world Pool. Please do not work for this company. No am not a mad ex worker. Its true they don't pay what they say. Some times they don't pay you at all. You don't have to take it from me. Theres over 200 people on this sit thats says the same thing. Who will you believe the big company are the small man.you pick! But think about your family and what it could do to you if am right. I learn time is money. When you have a family to take care of time is every thing. They will take your time and never pay you. Do not let what happen to me happen to you. I almost lost every thing, because believe what they told me. It was all a rip off scam.

For the people who works for them and the people we have to sale the pool to. If i was any part of any scam with this company i am so sorry. I just didn't know. To the families i sold the pools to i am so sorry.

Beware of Blue World Pools, Inc. in Atlanta, GA. They are a manipulating, greedy company that targets vulnerable people and tries to lock them into a 29.9% high interest loan. Their sales tactics are based first on manipulating there sales force and convincing them that they are a company of "high quality and standards", who in turn tries to convince the potential customer to buy in and get ripped-off!
REMEMBER: IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT ALWAYS IS!
BLUE WORLD POOLS IS AN ABOMINATION AND A GREAT EXAMPLE OF GREED AT WORK IN AMERICA!
