I shopped store # 445 Ellenwood, Ga. on 6/28/23 at 4:28 PM, and purchased a total of $228.30, including one pack of cigarettes. After putting the items away later, I realized I did not have the cigarettes. I called the store the next morning and spoke to the Manager, Misty Martin. She took my name, number, and the time on the receipt, and said she couldn't just give me the replacement, would investigate and call me back. I told her I would not spend over $220 and try to cheat over a $6 pack of cigarettes. She said "I didn't say that"
I waited over 3 hours and she had not called, I went by the store. She said she had been busy and was going to call me LATER. I told her she didn't understand smoking. I purchased them because I was running out!
She said hold on and let her check the store CC camera. After me waiting 10-15 minutes she said "Yes, The video shows him ringing them up. What kind were they"?
SAY WHAT?!
My receipt shows they were rung up. You act like I am a criminal over $6.00?! She said "Well, I am not just going to give them to you without investigating."
She said "if it was any other item I would just say come in and get a replacement, but not tobacco items. That would be like having a pack of cigarettes just walk out the door"!
I was in retail management for many years, and that is NOT the way to treat people! I don't know where she learned her job but she needs a refresher course!
Thereis a Kroger right across the street, and a Publix nearby. I don't HAVE to shop at your store!
Desired outcome: Change her attitude about the way she treats customers !
