Dear Sir / Madam,
We are from Australia and have travelled extensively throughout the USA and love eating at Denny’s - on every visit we eat at Dennys - we find the variety, price and quality very good - needless to say we have dined at numerous Dennys since 1986.
We are currently in Honolulu and went into the above location and have never been so disappointed with Dennys as we were today. We ordered an “all American slam” with a slight modification such as wheat toast instead of white toast and sunny side up eggs instead of scrambled eggs and was told by the serving person that the menu could not be modified and asked us if we wanted to see the manager to which we replied yes - the manager arrived to advise us of the same thing and asked us to read the menu again where it indicated that it said white toast and scrambled eggs - we said we could read but asked if they would make an exception and was refused by the very rude manager - we told the manager that we dined at the other store on Lewers Street where they were very accommodating - he refused again so we finished our coffee and left - we then visited the other store on Lewers Street where the waitress accommodated what we requested. This experience was not pleasant to say the least. We were very disappointed and will not dine there again although this will not stop us from visiting Dennys again at other locations.
