Last night (2/24/2023, Friday at 6) our family went to McDonald's Store Number 25868. My daughter got 3 happy meals for her 3 children, a sandwich and a drink
Her meals were put on the counter but nobody called her order number and the food was not delivered to her table. She didn't realize her order was ready until I looked at the counter and found her Fun Meals along with her sandwich order. The order sheet was stuck to the counter. She still did not have her drink. Nobody was at the counter. Nobody asked if she needed help. After trying to flag down an employee to get her drink cup, she went behind the counter and took a cup for herself and another customer so they could get their drinks.
My wife and I were trying to order our dinner at the Kiosk. We tried to find the "2 filet for $6" on the Kiosk so we could order that and drinks. That is all we wanted. BUT, unless you want to order a standard meal, I guess you must go to a register and hope someone comes to take your order. The Kiosk has big problems with Grill orders and specials. I tried going to a register to order what we wanted but nobody came out to take my order. After several minutes of waiting, we just ordered two Filet Meals on the Kiosk
This was way more than we wanted to eat but we needed to get our food because our daughter and grandkids were already eating. Then, we waited, and waited for our food, but our number wasn't announced. I went to the counter to see if our order was up, but found nothing. I looked for my receipt on a bag, but didn't see it. While waiting, saw another customer come in, order food, wait, then get his order. I knew something was wrong. I went to the counter and called back to the grill area for help. Someone came up, pointed to a bag with no receipts on it, and said that was my order. The way it was packed, it looked like just 2 large fries (there were no drinks)
There was no receipt on the counter associated with the bag so there was no way for me to know that was my order. Now that I had my order (without our drinks) I went behind the counter and took a cup that my wife and I shared. Garbage cans in the lobby were filled to overflowing the entire time we were in the restaurant. This was all at 6pm on Friday. 1 hour into the rush. There were 3 families in the lobby. All other traffic was the drive through. The last time we had service like this was at a Pizza Hut in 2005
We have never gone back there since.
Desired outcome: McDonald's Corporate needs to be told that the Kiosk results in nobody at the front counter for walk-in guests. This results in people experiencing a dinner like mine that there are MANY fast-food places you can get better service.
