The employees at the Store In Haughton, La #10190. Earlier this afternoon there were 12 patrons in line for check out. There were two cashiers and then one of them left the area. The lady checking out then had all these customers to check out. She did a great job.
I asked a guy stocking products where the other lady went and he said "she is on break so you will just have to wait, then walked off". In Louisiana you don't have to give employees breaks. If they don't have any more since then to leave a co worker alone with 12 to 15 people in line then she doesn't need to be there. The guy stocking doesn't need to be there either, he is very rude. I don't usually complain but I like that store, it's all we have right now.
However, Brookshires is putting in a Spring Market that will be opening at the beginning of the summer. I bet their customer service will outshine Dollar General for sure. My Email is: [protected]@gmail.com
I checked out at 13:28, there is a #10190 01 and 3056 on the ticket.
Desired outcome: better cashiers and store employees

To say Louisiana doesn't have labor laws for lunch periods or breaks is a bit inaccurate. Basically the laws in Louisiana employers are not required to provide breaks, however they must follow specific guidelines for breaks should they do provide breaks. It's like not requiring to jump in the water to save someone who is drowning but if you tell everyone else not to worry you'll save them with no actually intent to do so.
