UPS - dogslaughter

I had an absolutely horrific experience with a UPS driver. On August 12, 2011 the UPS driver pulled into my home office area. (This is a driver who has been delivering for years) My dog who I've had for ten years, heard the truck and jumped a stone wall at the back of the small parking area. His rope had gotten caught around a tree - and it was shortened, he was struggling as he was strangling to death. The driver saw him - non chalantly walked into the office - delivered the package, asked for my assistant's signature and then told her Jake was in trouble. She jumped up - and then he said - he looks like he's in a lot of trouble. By the time my 100 lb assistant went out to help my 80 lb. Jake he had hung from his neck until dead. She tried to lift his lifeless body - while the UPS guy drove off. Today, I saw him delivering a package to a neighbor, I went over to his truck, he smirked at me - I said - how could you let my dog struggle for his life while you walked non- chalantly into the office to getting something signed for. He responded - "that dog's always wanted a piece of me". No apology, no remorse He admittedly let him struggle and die when he could have saved him! Please tell me you have worse stories than this. So many people that good hearted Jake's spirt touched are broken hearted - evidently this guy doesn't have anything but ice in his veins! He is sub human..

Who are you sick people that wouldn't respond to a strangling dog - what page # is that in company policy?

I'm sure a dog strangling to death is a real safety hazard. Guess you all are company men - most likely belonging to unions and not humanity!

Ramelle:

Thanks for contacting us. We did receive the email and UPS Corporate Customer Relations has been in touch with the local management team.

As a pet owner, I know firsthand about the special bond with pets and I'm truly sorry to learn about this experience.

or, the OP should have thought it through before writing this complaint. i suppose being sued because your dog could have bitten the driver. AND THEN would have been killed anyway because it had to be put down for attacking someone.

common sense op. think before speaking.
