Good Evening:
This complaint refers to Store #00344, Transaction #52574, 8:37 pm, Register 004, Cashier: Fariha, on Friday, May 10, 2019:
I purchased five items: 2 pairs of mens pants, 1 pair of suspenders, 1 tie, and 1 tie with a pocket square ($8.99). When my son and I left the store, we went straight to my car and went home. Once we got home, we noticed that the tie with the pocket square was not in the bag. We checked the car and there was nothing in the car (as I thought it may have fell out of the bag). I called the store at 9:15 pm and spoke with the manager on duty. She was very pleasant and checked around the register and did not see the item. She transferred me to the loss prevention person on duty who took the information from my receipt and said that she would check the surveillance camara and call me back. The loss prevention person called me back at 9:33 pm and said that the surveillance camera indicated that all 5 items were put in the bag and the clerk said that she put all items in the bag. She then told me to "check around" as it should be there and rushed me off of the phone. Again, my son and I went straight to our car after purchasing the items and came home.
I'm attaching a photo of the bag that the items were put in. It is my opinion that due to having 2 mens pants that a larger bag should have been used. I believe the item was not put in the bag and I am requesting a credit or refund so that I can obtain another tie and pocket square for my son.
I would not ordinarily take the time to submit a complaint, but I know that we did not misplace or lose the item and I did not appreciate this not being taken care of at the store level--especially for an item that cost $8.99.
