My family and I visited McDonald's (#33298) in Ann Arbor, MI on 05/28/2021, located at 3325 Washtenaw 48104. In town because our grandson had died.
I enter the door to the dining area and was approached by an employee who advised me that the "Dining area is closed." Another employee (not in a McDonald's uniform, angrily rushed to me and said "What are you doing in this motherfucker!" I told him the door was opened. He led me to the door, I had entered, and pointed to a sign on the door saying, "Don't you see the motherfucking sign!" I told him there were several signs on the door, and all I wanted was a coke refill. He said, "Get a refill through the Drive-Thru." I went through the Drive-Thru I was told "You can't get a refill in the Drive-Thru." I purchased a cheeseburger and a medium coke. I paid for my order and refused to accept it.
This is my third letter receiving two duplicate replies signed by two different McDonald's representatives. This, my third letter is to explain that I understand due to COVID-19 there are protocols set in place around the world. Each reply gave an apology. I will NOT accept an unapologetic Company form-letter apology.
I was berated and rebuked for entering an opened door. I was spoken to in a VERY disrespectful manner! And I was told a lie about receiving service at the Drive-Thru!
