Star Plastic Surgery - Liposuction and tummy tuck

I went to Dr Reisin who performed Liposuction on my stomach, back, arms, love handles and in between legs. The same week of surgery my stomach started to leak and the incision across my whole stomach opened and stayed open for 6 months b4 it fully healed. My left arm is a lot bigger than my right arm. The left love handle is bigger than the right and I have a 3 in wide scar that is so bad because the stomach is so tight that I cannot go to the bathroom properly. I also had to have a belly button hernia repair due to surgery. When I went back to see him after healing all the way he told me I needed to lose 20lbs before he could do anything for me. I find this totally unacceptable. I went in to make myself feel better and am now disfigured and have trouble passing my stool on top of having to have another surgery due to the belly button hernia. He also had another person in the room who told me I needed to quit eating carbs junk food and breads but kind of made a joke of it. I have major thyroid problems not an eating disorder. So upset with my 18, 000 make over.

Desired outcome: I’d like my money back

Star Plastic Surgery - Process, treatment, lack of communication, and surgery

I had a breast augmentation scheduled for March 27th, 2020. I put $1000 dollars down, and that was it for a few weeks. I had already discussed my loan options with my loan provider. I called to verify my surgery was scheduled, and I was told that the date was changing because they had not heard from my loan processor. Well my loan processor had already tried multiple times to get in touch with Star Plastic Surgery, so they moved my surgery date, back a few weeks. April 17th was the new day, after 3 phone calls of people trying to schedule the same surgery, so no one had communicated anything. Well the Covid 19 hit and everything had closed down. Now since the whole loan issue, Mya, the office manager would not return any calls or emails of mine and she made me feel as if I was only a dollar sign, nothing else. Just money. I had asked the front desk twice for a copy of the paperwork I had signed, I was told I would get it. I never received any of it, not at all. Once they were allowed to open back up I had to go in for a 2nd pre op and go over everything again, and explain that I had already had the loan and discuss money all over again on May 26th 2020. Finding out while talking to the Nurse that her, and her whole family were out with Covid and she was still having health issues from it. So putting everyone in harms way of possibly dealing with getting Covid-19. Finally I had a surgery date months after my original appointment. June 12th 2020. Unfortunately I could not make my appointment as I was in the hospital with Covid 19. Lucky me! Now it is August 18th, 2020 and I have not heard one word from Star Plastic Surgery. The $1000 dollar down payment I was told I can not get back I have to use it there. Well for 1, why would I use it at a place where they made me feel like nothing but a dollar sign, no empathy nothing from the staff. 2. No communication through the staff members, so they had different people calling to do the same thing and the staff did not know. 3 During this time in Michigan when the executive orders were to cancel elective surgeries that also meant return deposits due to how bad the economy was doing. Yes I might have gotten unemployment finally, and my job did not reopen, yet really could use that money. Dr. Ozlin made me feel very comfortable and she was very polite and explained everything, unfortunately the staff does not compliment her. I have not heard anything from any one at Star Plastic Surgery regarding using my $1000 dollars, so it just shows me that they are all about money, and not about their patients. Yes I have gone elsewhere and am very happy. I would like my money back from Star Plastic Surgery for their non-communicating, lackadaisical, and greedy way of treating their patients. Also the lack of getting the paperwork over to me as stated they would and asking multiple times for my copies of what was signed.
