I phoned in an order for pick up at 4:21pm on Wednesday February 22 at the Troy MI location. The African American girl who answered the phone and took my order seemed very unfamiliar with the sandwich I wanted to order when I the Lenten special buy one get one free cod fish sandwich promotion. After several repeat attempts she finally understood what I wanted or order. She asked for my name then gave me my total of just over $16. She said nothing regarding wait time for my order pick up nor did she thank me for my order. I asked if that was the total before the coupon. Again I mentioned the promo email coupon to her and she said there were NO such coupons. I said I would show her upon arrival as it stated to do so in print. My phone rang about 3-5 minutes after I hung up. She called me back to say her manager communicated the coupon was only good on Fridays. I explained the coupon dated it begins today. She insisted no and stressed again only Fridays. I told her to cancel the order and once again no phone etiquette remarks of sorry or offer to have me speak with the manager. In fact when I picked up the phone she was busy having a conversation and I had to say “hello” at least two times before she answered me. I do no understand why the manager did not speak with me over delegating the call to the girl who took my order. Furthermore if this location has different participation dates from others locations, that should have been made clear rather than telling me Fridays only to which that is NOT what the promotional ad states.
Desired outcome: To have me 1. return 2. support this business 3. leave a positive review of outcome I feel it is fair to ask I receive this promotion as complimentary redemption of two sandwiches ( the LEAST I could respectfully request).
