UniFirst - Consistently poor service resulted in early cancellation of contract - highly predatory company!!!

We first hired Unifirst in December of 2019. Since the first month of service we had consistent issues with the service and product. Started off with the wrong items / sizes ordered by the representative. We then were charged for the representatives mis-ordered items at no fault of our own.
Items constantly went missing which resulted in charges from Unifirst, even though the lost items were on their end. Employees would turn in all their uniforms and receive none back, resulting in a week of no uniforms to be worn. (yet still had to pay for) Name tags fell off, pockets fell off of pants, we were charged for items we did not order, clothing consistently returned stained and dirty, just to name a few.
I have a hefty stack of emails of all of the terrible service that was provided for months and months that I will happily provide if requested.
The final straw was attempting to get resolution for yet another issue on March 4th, 2020 to not even get a response back from Unifirst until March 15th. At that point we were set on cancellation due to a breach of contract by Unifirst. (Proven inability to provide quality service which happened at least one to two times per month since start of service).
At this point the District Service Manager did finally make an appearance to speak to us about the issues. Unfortunately by this time we had had quite enough of the terrible customer service and service provided in general. This appointment with the DSM should have happened MONTHS prior.
Upon informing the DSM that we would like to cancel our services due to these plentiful issues, we were then issued an invoice for the contract balance - in the sum of over $8, 000. We responded to this invoice with the intent to come to some sort of resolution on this invoice, as it is incredibly predatory to charge a customer for cancelling due to terrible customer service. The response from Unifirst arrived the very next day in the format of a threatening letter from a lawyer demanding we pay in the next 10 days. Highly unacceptable and predatory business practice.

Desired outcome: Release from contract with no monetary penalties - Removal of cancellation fee's
