I too, received a call from a recruiter who was interested in putting me in management. Sounded good, I agreed to an interview.
The only problem was, the call was very vague and I hung up without having any real information about the company. I had to pry any information out of the guy beyond his first name. That made me uncomfortable enough to check them out online.
Boy am I glad I double checked before going for any interview with this company. I called immediately to cancel the interview. I can't afford to get sucked in to some pyramid scheme.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Primerica - money stealers!!!
these people have you sign up for their business. its 99$ to start and then they deduct 25$ every month. you have to basically go around and try to sell life insurance to friends and family... most of the time you wont be able to sell it because everyone usually has life insurance. so you kinda get screwed!!! and if you want to cancel it you have to write...

I think you are all missing the point. PRIMERICA is NOT for EVERYONE! It is only for the 10 percent of people that have a desire to be something great, and to do something special. trying to convince someone that Primerica is not a pyramid, is like trying to tell someone the sky is blue when they believe it is orange, if they think it is a pyramid than they probably don’t belong in Primerica, (or as a business owner anywhere else for that matter). Primerica is for people that have vision, desire, and determination. If anyone says to me that they heard Primerica is a scam. I politely explain what a scam, or pyramid is and ask if they understand the difference if they don’t "nice to meet you, but it looks like you are not a good fit".
Primericans please DON'T try to hire everyone, most of the people in the world don't want or deserve what we have to offer. Just look for the people that are worthy of greatness, and the mediocre will just start showing up. It is impossible for followers not to follow so GO GET THE LEADERS
Hope that this help you prospective employees to decide, do I want to be something better than everyone else or do I want to just make 60k a year for the rest of my life. It is your decision if you have any questions call any Primerica office in the Phone book you will probably find someone who can explain it to you.
All the best
Why did you call and cancel the interview? Better to just not show up at all.
For all of you saying Primerica is not a pyramid scheme because it has been around for 30 years, let me just remind you the Hell's Angels have been around for wuite some time, too. If there is any legal company in the world, that functions as close to a pyramid scheme (and a cult), it is Primerica.
I am sorry for all the People that get "scammed" out of $100 That goes to the state you live in. I am sorry for all the people that can't do real research into the LARGEST financial services company in the World. I am also sorry for the people that might go into the wrong office. There are 1000s of offices just like there are 1000s of churches. Some Churches have bad people but that doesn't Make the gospel incorrect. Some offices have bad people or tactics but that doesn't make the company bad. Open your eyes people the LARGEST financial company that has the HIGHEST customer satisfaction of ANY insurance company in North America can't be doing anything to bad or it would be shut down. Grow up and enjoy the free market society we live in. Or you could go live in a socialist country and make the same as everyone else.
I've been a Primerica independent rep for 9 years and I have found no illegal tactics used by this company. I've been able to obtain a legal license to market Primerica's products and our designated insurance commissioner has not shutdown our office because of any illegal activities. I have not heard of any SEC or NASD investigations into Primerica. All I can see in these complaint are people that misunderstand Primerica's true mission. These are people that believe that a "job" is there only way to live the "American Dream". Well, I 've been reading the news about millions of people that have lost their "jobs" because huge companies decided to downsize. I have seen people that once held respectable jobs are now begging on the streets for a handouts or spare change. Before you judge Primerica I suggest you experience it. I see that people lodging complaints barely get past the "opportunity night". If these people stayed to learn more of the company then maybe they would have a change of opinion. Think outside the box.
I, too, was taken in by the management scam. A friend actually told me Primerica had a management position open with salary and benefits. It was all well and good at first... until I realized how the company works. There is no salary, and I had just wasted over $100 signing up for a job I did not want.
The worst part about the whole thing are all of the Primerica reps on websites like these, spamming wonderful happy things about the company. There are many reps who sign up thinking about how much money they will make, only to be hit with fees, convention tickets, and then more fees. Going to "training" taught me nothing. They presented us with stupid little stories about achieving goals and having successful attitudes. Don't get me wrong, that's all well and good, but we learned NOTHING of what we were selling.
Primerica reps are like zombies. But instead of brains, they feed on your contacts.
Also - they kept billing me after I cancelled my subscription.
PS - try to take all of the positive comments with a grain of salt. That was exactly how I felt when I joined the company. I couldn't speak highly enough about it. Now I'm embarrassed to have actually been suckered into it. WARN YOUR FRIENDS!
i agree with chuck. you really missing out. Call the recruiter back locate a primerica office do something to get involved with primerica whether it be as a client or a associate. this is a great opportunity give it a chance
Pyramid schemes are illegal. Primerica has been around for 33 years and is governed by strict regulatory and compliance regulations. They have never been charged with being a pyramid or anything like it. They have the lowest rate of unresolved complaints at the Better Business Bureau of any company in their industry sector. Perhaps the person who contacted you didn't handle it well, but you missed out an an exceptional business opportunity.
