Dear Burlington,
I am a ex employee from Burlington in Clifton. I want to let you know that it's a stressful work place. You need better management. I haven't seen a work place where I have seen a assistant manager not help there employees. To be honest most of the Css have to clean up everyone's messes. It is not fair that Css get treated differently from everyone else. There is a lot of favoritism at the work place. There's many that don't do their job correctly but get a pass but if your a regular a employee you get yelled at. I have seen a lot go on and I am sick and tired of the [censored] that goes on. You as a company need to prove in how your employees are treated. If your employees are treated good then your company will succeed. I also wanted to let you that have never meet a assistant manager that curse and makes fun of their employees. Also, another manager that just watches everyone do work and stands on their phone texting all day. Another, thing is I feel really bad that the store doesn't promote their employees that have been in the company for the longest but yet will hire a complete stranger. It very ridiculous. It's not fair for the employees that are trying their best to move forward with the company. I want to let you that your manager by the name of Darren needs a lot of help because he is not emotionally stable to work in a busy environment. His the manger that curse a lot and yells at the employees. Then there's a Marylin that doesn't do anything and use her phone all the time. Tangie is a great manager she helps with returns and help on the floor. Berto is also a great store manager . He gets the job right. Lisa is a great Css and key holder. She holds the store down and knows how to manage. Another thing is you need to separate customers service from purchasing because when people return or exchange it take a while . Then there customers waiting on line just to purchase. I just hope and pray you guys with best of intentions. I hope I can see change next time I come to shop.

What you shared still exists today (4 years later). Especially when a store manager comes from another Burlington store that closed and brings her staff with her. The workers who have more seniority at the current store and who have great attendance (especially special needs people) are at the bottom of the totem pole of receiving little or no hours at all. The special needs worker gets blamed for the mess that a previous worker didn't make correctly. You are pretty much on your own for training and learning the policies of the store. When you ask for accommodation such as a chair to sit down after standing at the registers for over 3 hours are never met. Their "culture" that they try to promote for their workers is a complete opposite.
