Boston Market - Unfairly let go due another coworker rumor.

Hello,

I worked at Bostom Market located on Ridge Road in North Arlington, NJ last September to October. As the shifts go, they are uploaded on a generated site solely for workers. I checked my scheduled every time because I never knew when the schedule would be up or even correct. I called numerous times throughout the days and week, because I never knew what day I was working as the workers site was never updated. Each time I called the manager on the phone they would tell me check the schedule on the app and hang up on me. How can a company not have a schedule made up for their employees set on who is working on what day is unreal.. this Boston Market did that they never knew when anyone was working yet when an employee[s] would call, it was like we were bothering the manager. Alway short responses and even nasty ones too. They never knew when anyone was working and was told to check the scheduling app.

I checked every hour and low and behold the app was scheduled but just for a week at a time.. and that changed without notice.

This particular day I was scheduled to work as the night before I worked until sometimes 10:30pm -11:00 pm cleaning up and washing dished that the other employees were gone at 10:00 pm leaving every time I was scheduled, to everything myself.

I check the schedule. Nothing... I then called and was told I was put on closing which was at 10:00pm by the manager himself.

I got to Boston Market on my shift as told my the exact same manager, and was hit with, you aren't working here anymore as you "told" an employee you don't like it here". This was completely false since I always worked by myself and said not a word to anyone. I was also told"you need to leave because we have someone else doing your job.. get out! I asked the manager if we can talk about the falseness of this accusation towards me, but he was rude and didn't want to hear the truth from me. I was unlawfully let go from a rumor. I then called the HR department, and that took 5 calls to make, leaving messages on how I was treated and unlawfully fired because my manage beleive sone falso story from an employee. Being a cancer remission patient, I loved that job so why would anyone deceive me that way? My parents decide enough was enough and wrote HR an email detailing everything. I recieved a call after 4 days and the HR department and I talked and she said she would loo into the situation.

I go back to Boston Market to get my paycheck for the following week, and it was also incorrect. I was only paid for 1 1/2 hours. My check was 16.00... The female manager asked me what had happened, and she even said she needs to get involved with the HR department as a fellow employee was involved in this nonsense. My female manager knew Ifd never say anything like I hated the place and wanted to quit. She said I'm calling HR to get this resolved to you can come back as I was a hard worked. The best they best they had.

The HR department called me and said that the investigation is still underway and will be completed in 3 days. She said she would call me but asked me if I wanted a night or day shift "if: she can get me my job back that I was un-lawfully fired from. I told her id work the morning shift since they are busier. She agreed and said she would let me know. Days past and I called the HR woman over 2 weeks and left messages and no call back. It is a year later 2023 and see others get treated unlawfully is not right. I want to file a complaint and get what is rightfully owed to me. When Boston Market manager [male] did this to me I felt it was not right to get treated like a piece of dirt and how I was spoken to was absurd.

Desired outcome: There was no outcome I was told there would be, but nothing came of my HR complaint.
