Optimum - Bill payment

To whom it might concern.

I signed up with Optimum from August 2019 since I moved to Westchester NY.

Since then I am having a problem with bill payment. I am trying to set up with them automatic payment it works for a couple months and then it does not take payments on time and there is no email or phone message notification about and no option to set up this seevice. Only option is statement on mail which tell me that I am late and have late fee applied. So all this time I have a big problem with them, first of all I think they are on purpose messing up automatic payments to get late fee applied almost right away, they are on purpose not sending the email notification about not processed payment and there is no easy to get life representative ob the phone, the chat unfortunately useless those people could not solve billing problem.

I am a good customer I don't have any out stading payments and not aim to collect one but Optimum after three years experience with them making payment difficult on purpose.

Desired outcome: I want to wave all my late fee and pay me back all$130 since there are not fairly applied. Also, make IT department and management update their customer communication access, notifications and automatic payment activity.

Optimum - Billing charges for no service

My Elderly mother was charged for 3 months of service with out installation being done.
My mother lives in senor housing in yonkers ny. The whole building was being renovated and every senior was placed into a hotel from 08/2020 - 05/2021. her bird freeze ended after 6 months (we found out later) she charged for March, April & may 2021.
we called up to dispute the charges and also have someone to come over and reinstall her optimum equipment. that took a month because the Technician & the installer were fighting to see who call it should be. She finall regain full service at the end of June.
I contacted corperate offices and spoke to Trini williams and Aya sayhaed. no luck with them because they are saying, why she didn't call in those month's we're disputing and they don't understand. She was in a hotel and what post office they know delivers mail to a hotel for residence. She did't start receiving, ail until May, noone was allowed in the building while the Renovation was being preformed.

Please some one Help
She had auto pay through her bank and not with optimum

Desired outcome: credit her 3 monrhs

Optimum - Everything this company offers

This company is absolutely criminal. Constant internet drops especially at peak work hours, spotty television services and issues with landlines. Its disgusting and deserves legal recourse and I feel like compensation is due for all of their paying customers who they take advantage of and ample money from. The creatures that run this company leech hundreds of dollars from each of their customers monthly for nothing but headaches and faulty equipment. Over the course of my problems with optimums services I had about 10 different "technicians" come to "fix" the problem just to have the same issues after about a week. On about the 11th time they sent someone over who told me about the outside box being the issue, mind you not a single previous employee even checked or mentioned said box. After re-doing the entire setup, the 11th tech left so you'd think problem solved. Wrong, after about a month of the service being optimal the same issues came back. Optimum/Altice is more of a criminal organization than a service provider at this point and its time for them to be held accountable for what they put their customers through.

Optimum - Service Call Fee

My internet was not working properly. It would go down for hours during the day and as I work from home this was costing me money. I called for help and followed the technician's instructions but noting worked. The first technician told me to return the modem and router to one of their locations. The location he gave me and I drove to was no longer in business. Frustrated I called back to find there was no longer a location close to me and I had to mail back the equipment and new equipment would be mailed out but it would take 5 -7 days. I told them that was unacceptable as I need the internet for my livelihood. When I said I would switch to another provider they then said they would send a technician out to my house the next day at no cost to me. The technician set up the equipment and the issue was resolved. I now get a bill and I am charged $80.00 for a service call. When I called to ask why I was told it wasn't for the technician coming to the house it was for replacing the old equipment. The equipment is my responsibility. I explained I pay a rental charge every month and when their equipment no longer functions why is it I must pay for replacements that I pay a monthly rental charge for. I was told it was policy and there was nothing they could do for me. After all the years of being a good customer and paying my bills on time I can't believe they charge customers to get their service working. For me to stay I expect the $80.00 to be reversed or I will switch providers and never go back.

Optimum - Television Services

In Oct i was without T.V . For three weeks. optimum tells me every month i will get a credit and a supervisor will contact me. It is now Jan and i not got a credit nor has a supervisor contact me. Instead of a credit my bill has gone up 20.00.

Desired outcome: To get my credit for not having t.V. for three weeks

Optimum - Extremely poor - optimum tv, internet, and phone service

President - optimum tv, internet, phone service

We have had no phone service, no internet service and sporadic tv service for 5 days. We were assured by optimum that our service would be restored and here I am at 9: 47 pm on 12/21/2020 writing this complaint. They assured us that that they would be here at 8:00 pm — it is now 10:00 pm with notice from optimum

Here is breakdown of my problems :
1- nophone service incoming or outgoing. We can make phone calls out however no one can reach us with an incoming call. The call drops off with no response. We have a dangling cable with on modem connected.

2- no alexa, kindle or google access to internet. We so we are unable to determine the latest weather, news, etc. We have no internet connection.

3-we are unable to use our ipad to access various channels our tv.

We specifically requested an appointment at 4:00pm so that I could keep my existing cardiology dr. Appointments. In may of this year I had a slight stroke which has resulted in diminished capacity to resolve issues.

Desired outcome: Fully and usable restored Cable TV, internet and phone service.

Optimum - Cable

On oct 15th 2020, i went to the parlin nj store to return my cable equipment and to cancel my services. I received bill for service from oct 16th to nov 15th. I explained to the rep and was given a ticket number and was assured to disregard the bill. I then received another bill on 11/4, spoke to another rep and given a ticket # again and told to disregard the bill again. He first tryied to tell me that i never returned the equipment which i had a receipt with all the item numbers listed. He then said don't worry disregard. Again i received another bill, tried calling from my cell and it states that i have a bal, when i try to speak to a rep they are unable to locate me in the system, i have tried 3 times getting nowhere. I'm not paying for services that i do not have. I need help in resolving this

Optimum - Optimum store behind the counter rep was not helpful in any way or form.

Date was Feb. 21st. 2020 at approx. 9:00am. John Vasquez was his name I believe. He was stationed at counter #8 at the 1101 store on Stewart Ave. in Bethpage N.Y.
John was arrogant and inappropriate. He could not advise or show any interest on various options to help me lower my bill. None commital or just ill informed or was bored of working.
I have been with Cablevision for at least 25 years which meant nothing to him as he was so courageous and quick to tell me "we do not negotiate". I explained I wasn't here for that but to simply get other options to lower my $260 a month bill.
I told him thank you and I would be seeking other carriers. FIOS, etc.
At this point I don't want or need Optimum.
I will advise others who are thinking about Optimum to go elsewhere. Social media will help with that.

Optimum - customer service

I have been on the phone over an hour and a half trying to connect with a representative to answer billing questions I have. I have called 3 times over the last hour and a half resulting in waiting for over half hour on each call to get hanged up on at the end each time. It's suppose to be a 24/7 service. I also left my phone number to be called back in supposedly 4 minutes wait. I was never called back.
