I visited Urban Outfitters in the Walden Galleria Mall in Cheektowaga, New York, recently. I was browsing and considering buying items. A sales associate -- who was white, young and redheaded -- watched me and followed me as I browsed different sections. It made me extremely uncomfortable. She never asked if I needed help and I was wondering if it was all in my own head until I asked my mom, "Is that girl following me?" And my mom said, yes. There was another sales associate nearby who heard our conversation but I guess decided to ignore it -- oh and he didn't ask if we needed help either. I was so angry, bought nothing -- and of course I didn't steal anything -- and haven't returned. I won't even buy off the website. This sales associate's possible prejudice is not MY problem -- it's hers. In any case, she set a bad example for her company, and as a result, they've lost a customer.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
So it's racist of her to make sure no one steals? She probably watches everyone. Did you speak to a manager or just come here to bash a company for an employee doing their job?
