On May 1, 2020 I booked a flight from Jacksonville Florida to Flint Michigan. The dates were from 5/6/2020 to 5/8/2020. I got insurance incase I have to cancel the trip. I put in a refund request with Cheapoair. Message I kept getting was it will be refunded in 2 billing cycles and they charged me $35.00 for cancelling at this time. Called the company and was told I had to get my refund from the Airline which was American Airline. After checking and never getting anywhere with Cheapoair I tried American Airlines. I put in a request online with American Airline. I was told I went thru a travel agency and had to get my refund from them. The cost of the trip was $181.00 plus $11.95 for the insurance. On 6/29/20 when I called and talked with a Jeffrey (if that is even his name) I could get a refund of $130.08 back and it would be applied to my card in 2 billing cycles. Then again they charged my debit card another $35.00. I would like this to be looked into. They didn't give me all my money back for the flight and then charged me a extra $70.00.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
CheapOair - Fraudulent customer service activities and no promised flight ticket refund
January 8, 2020 I booked a flight through cheapoair from HKG-JKT on january 25. My credit card was charged. Several days later I was notified that my flight had been cancelled and to contact cheapoair. I contacted them and they offered to rebook me on a flight that was ten hours earlier or another 48 hours later than originally purchased (this was during the busiest travel days of the year in HKG) None of those options worked for me, I would not be physically in Hong Kong at the time. After lengthy discussions with the agent over several days, he told me that the airline had agreed to refund my ticket and the refund was in process. I received a confirmation email of this more than 24 hours before my initial flight (which was cancelled) was scheduled for departure. Over the past several months I have been contacting cheapoair regularly inquiring about my refund. Until today I was assured that my refund was in process and it has been delayed due to Covid19
Today I heard from Cheapoair customer service stating that since my refund request was not made before the initial date of departure, that it was denied.
I feel very victimized here. I have been lied to and subject to fraudulent statements from cheapoair staff and wasted countless hours trying to get a refund on a flight ticket the airline unilaterally cancelled and offered me no feasible alternative to. Now cheapoair is trying to gaslight me by claiming that all the hours I spent communicating with their staff did not happen.
The behavior of cheapoair in this situation is dishonest, fraudulent and offensive.

CheapOair - Ticket refund to include extra fees charged
On June 3, 2019 I scheduled a flight from Las Vegas, NV to Vienna on Condor Air through Cheap-O-Air. When I couldn't find a return flight site I contacted them for help in scheduling a return flight. This was a direct flight, round trip, economy class. I was on the phone with their scheduling office for over an hour and a half and at the end of the call I had a return flight ticket, which cost me much moe than my one ticket cost plus hidden fees and overcharges which I had never heard of. Today, June 28 2019, I called to cancel my flight on July 3, 2019 because of a medical situation that prevented me and my wife from flying at this time and I requested to reschedule for the next month (August 2019). They politely informed me that this action would cost an additional fee of $599.00 per person just because I cancelled. This would put my total cost to increase by almost $1, 000.00 and at this time I refused and hung up. I feel that Cheap-o-Air overcharged me in the first place for a flight that should have only cost around $3, 400.00 versus the $4, 306.00+ ticket fees charged. My Booking is #[protected]. I feel that this company operates on hidden fees, overchrged tickets and undisclosed fees and information and if no refund is not forthcoming, rest assurred that I will take this matter all the way to the highest court and every media source I can find to put information out to the public of how this company operates. This is a corrupt travel agency and people should be aware of their practices.
