McDonald's - food

Kevin Carlton

Concerning McDonald's Dine-In Restaurant at 686 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10010.

I have been a regular customer of McDonald's in New York City and abroad for many years. On Thursday, August 09th, 2018, at approximately 04:15 PM, the manager there called the police and lied to them, stating that I was trying to jump over the counter and asked me to leave. All I ever did was approach the manager and politely introduce myself as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I asked the manager to briefly review a copy of a print-out I had of Public Law 97-280. The manager read the law and said to me, "Okay, so what do you need?" I told the manager that I don't work for money by vow of poverty and only work for God to promote Charity and asked him to freely share with me one burger because I was hungered. The manager abruptly said, "No, I can't give you anything and I don't believe in God. Try next door." I told the manager that the United States Pledge of Allegiance States that we're a nation under God and the currency bears the national Motto, In God We Trust. The manager asked me to leave and I began to ask him why and why he could not share what was created freely for us all. The manager stated that he was going to call the police. The manager called the police and the police arrived within 5 minutes. The police spoke to me outside and told me that the manager said I was trying to jump over the counter. That was an absolute lie and I am requesting an investigation into the matter before taking further action. The manager caused me to be embarassed and humiliated because of my faith and the fact that the law supports it's main tenet, Charity, which is Love, sharing with those in need.

I've been a customer for a long, long time and will continue to be so whenever I can afforded it because I love McDonald's food and services. My favorite.

I'd like a remedy to the situation. I shop there whenever I'm in the area and have enough for a bite to eat. Now, I'm embarassed to show my face near the restaurant because I was made to look like a criminal by the manager and I was never charged.

Thank you
