Arby's - band aid sandwich

My husband and I went to the Arbys near our house and then parked in the lot to eat. As I was finishing my sandwich (which was just a regular arbys melt we got the 5 for 5.95) I found a band aid it in! I was so grossed out I spit that bite back in the wrapper and proceeded to puke. I went back in with the bag of food, everything else was still in there minus one band aid sandy and whatever my husband had eaten up til the point when we found the nasty band aid. The girl at the counter said and I quite, "EWW! That's Quincy's!" Then everyone disappeared to the back, where she was obviously repremanded for admitting the band aid came from an employee. The manager returned the counter and stated everyone is wearing gloves and nobody has any cuts. So they gave me my $ back without even saying sorry or anything. I told the person walking in the restuarant be careful I just found a nasty band aid in my sandwich, and so the manger called the cops on me, I didn't realize it was ILLEGAL to warn someone about their nasty hygiene practices! Then she even followed me outside to get my car/plate information. So I waited for the cops to come so I could explain what happened. So not only did they serve up a band aid, call the cops on me and be rude she then LIED to the cops! SHe told the cops I was running around the store yelling at everyone that I had "food poisoning" Which never even came up in the conversation AT ALL. I am a nurse, so I happen to know that food bourne illnesses don't manifest themselves for 24-48 hours. What I was, however, worried about was any sort of disease the person wearing the band aid may have had, and blood bourne pathogens (e.g. hep a b or c and HIV) Then she had the oudasity to tell the cops I "Just wanted my Money back." Excuse me ###? I should have said "Your the one working in arbys when your 40 what did u drop out of elementary school" My car is probably worth more than the ### dump housing project she crawled out of.
Also, the Quincy character that supposedly was wearing his gloves (or so says the managment) came in from smoking his cigarette (or weed cigarette) from the back and only had on one glove. So he was only wearing one glove to begin with and was smoking with it without washing his nasty black hands. He looked stoned, the only white part on him (his eyes) werent even white they were red from the crack he'd just sizzled down.
So I even called the corporate offices. To which I never recieved a phone call back, so I called again and was told "We have nothing to say to you, we've filled out a claim and sent it to our insurance co. we have nothing to do it with it anymore."
Nicely handled, I must say. ### arbys and all the ### ###s who work there.

@Nightrain im not calling you a liar but you are mistaken the way arbys "meat" is prepared is by sorting out the lean and the fatty and chopping them up into a paste then combining them to the right consistency for lean/fatty then superheating them into almost dust then compressing and freezing them and shipping them to arbys as small cubes, then these cubes are put into a machine like a breadmaker that adds water and cooks it untill its like... a loaf of bread this is sliced and put on the sandwitches this is done to PREVENT samonella and such diseases from occuring in the meat (and to keep big fatty chunks out of there sandwitches ) because the meat is preapred like this it cannot get "slimey" like normal meats... if they got samonella it wasnt from that, although i feel extremely bad for your wife and son.

as for the person who posted this complaint. You are a ###ing liar go to hell, that is all.

I just want to say that I am sorry about your expierince. Its rediculous that these people arent held to a better set of quality when it comes to serving customers. The general manager should definetly start looking for a better staff, because those people are going to chase away customers and give a bad rep for the employee's who do thier job the right way.

i was on your side until you started your racism tantrum - you really need education in your life -these very same people you down grade could be the same one to help your butt when you need it. append there color shouldnt matter - that fact is you found a nasty banded. i really wonder what you really said ( did you scream racial slurs to them) i find it hard to believe you where nice . you are very simple minded and help.
Arbys i hope you did investigate - because that is a health hazard

Wedenesday night ?, October 29, 2008, my wife (61) and son (31) visited Arby's at 118 Federal Road in Danbury, Connecticut. She had a "French Dip" sandwich containing sliced beef, and our son had a regular Arby's Roast Beef sandwich. Within 8 hours my wife became seriously ill with all the symptoms of Samonella food poisoning. On the morning of Friday, October 31st our son became violently ill.  Both have since reported that the beef seemed slimy and didn't taste right.  Other than the Arby's meal, I have ingested the very same food as the rest of my family, and have had no symptoms at all.

My wife has had two serious operations on multiple hernias during the past four years, and the effect of the wretching has been catastrophic, leaving her quite unable to move at all.

I went to an Arbys in Dunkirk New York and ordered a Turkey Bacon Club. When I opened up the package and took a bite out of the sandwich all I got was a mouth full of bread. There was hardly anything in the sandwich. When I complained to the girl all she did was smile and say there was nothing she could do about it and that it was the way they came. I was not very happy as I hadn't been there in a while was really looking forward to going to Arbys. I felt that they should have at least made me a better sandwich or returned my money.
