I bought a lawn battery in march 2021 a (silver 160cca/200ca) die hard. Installed on my 8hrs lawn tractor. It started it 2 times and then I hard to charge the battery because it was dead. Charged the battery and it was fine for one cutting. parked it to clean off the mower and it would not restart again, the battery was dead. I know what your thinking I thought the same thing, there's something wrong with my charging system on the tractor. Charged the battery again, checked the out put voltage to the stator and it was good 29 / 31 volt out put. regulator putting out 14 / 15 dc amps. Nothing wrong with the charging system so it had to be the battery. This had all taken place from the end of June to the middle off July 2021. On July 18 2021 charged the battery (trinkle charge over night for 18hrs) July 19 2021 used Midtronics to test the battery. The results showed the battery was at 13.44 v/ good right, wrong it also showed the starting cca at 129 should be 160 / the ca started at-161 should be 200 and the midtronics said charge and retest. Did a load test on the battery and it failed below 9-volts 13.44 to minus 9 - volts. Well I charged it the day before for 18hrs and it wasn't even holding the starting amps the battery was supposed to hold at start up. July 20 2021 went to Advance store in Harrison Ohio to get a replacement battery (I know the 3 month free replacement had expired but the battery has a 2 yr warranty and I was in titled to a prorate cost for a new battery. This is where I my issue came it to play. The lady at the counter used her test unit to test the battery and said the battery was good. I asked does your tool test battery under a load because the battery is holding a good charge until its put under a load. She had no reply. said the battery was good and told me its because the battery not strong enough to start your tractor. 1st off, Im not an idiot. Work on heavy EQ for a living and 200 amps is plenty to start a small engine. 2nd of all I us a 190cca battery on another tractor and haven't had to jump start it ever. been using it for 5 yrs. Its not so much she didn't know what she was talking about but more so thinking that she did. Midtronic don't lie. What ever tool she was using was only giving her the volts with out putting under a load. She cost me $60.00 because she didn't know what she was doing and auto zone, oriely, napa, koi load test all batteries. Why didn't she? NEVER STEP FOOT IN ADVANCE AUTO AGAIN, and I buy a lot of parts!
Desired outcome: My money back
