I had made a online purchase and needed to exchange an item for same thing just smaller size. I went to the nearest store and…
I seen a lady on one side of the counter and before I could speak told me to come to the other side. She stated right there and another associate said I will get you over here.
I tell the guy I just want to exchange for the same thing just different size.
The other lady that wanted me to go to the other side decides to come over. I would assume they were training. (Not really sure)
Anyway the lady says I can not exchange my item that they would have to refund my item and then have me buy the same item again. naturally I was shocked and said what!?
She tells me because it is a online order that the system is different. (I started thinking how would she know it was online item and I realized it's because I have the item in the bag that it came in) I then say to the rude lady. If I didn't have this in the bag how would you even know. She say I wouldn't I would just go by good faith that you would tell me. So wait if I didn't bring this in the shipping bag, you would have just exchanged it!? And this doesn't sound dumb!
She then asked me for my receipt. Now I don't know about anyone else but I never get a package slip when I order online from you all. and well have problems looking for it on my phone. Internet/human error.
I then ask her can't you just look it up by my name or phone number. She tells me NO!
The guy that was helping is now rolling his eyes and smirking at me. I then find my online order and show them. They then can't do it right and need to scan 3 more times.
Now they must have been having a bad day because I wasn't the only one that had problems with the associates
Desired outcome: Associates need to be friendly and more helpful also, why can’t you look up the orders from phone number/name
