On September 28, 2023 I took my 2020 Jeep Cherokee into Pep Boys at 20 N MacDade Blvd, Glenolden, PA 19036 for a wheel alignment. At 11:38 am I received a phone call from a Pep Boys employee named Marika stating "Your car is ready for pick up, do you have any issues with your push start?" I said no, why? She said we can not get the car off. I immediately went to the Pep boys. When I arrived Mechanic John was in my Jeep on the phone with a coder reader on my Jeep. I asked why he had a coder reader hooked up when I had nothing on my dash. He stated I am trying to get the car turned off. At this point I had not seen my push button. I asked if he knew how to work a push button? He said yes I have one. John then walked away. When I got in my car I could see the damage. My push button was broken. The button was pushed into the dashboard and the ring was cracked and broken off. Within 3 minutes Marika approached me with an invoice stating I would not be paying anything today. I asked what happened and she stated I do not know. She informed me that the store manager would be in tomorrow and I could speak with her. I asked who was going to pay for this? She stated I would need to speak with her manager and she walked back in the building. I drove my car out of the bay and parked. At this time I noticed that the alignment was not completed. I went into the building. As I was walking in, Marika said I just spoke with my manager. She asked that we call Jeep and see if they can fix it. Another man at the front desk was on the phone. She stated he has been calling jeep and no one is answering. I informed her I spoke with Jeep and I would be going to get an estimate for repairs. Marika stated yes, go get an estimate and bring it back tomorrow to the manager. I drove my Jeep to the Jeep dealership. They gave me an estimate and informed me they have never seen anything like this. On September 29, 2023 I took the estimate to Pep Boys. I spoke with the store manager Tracy. I began to tell her my complaint and she cut me off mid sentence and said I would need to call cooperate. I informed her I already did and they informed me that this would have to be handled in store. She then said yes I need to put in a claim. I asked her to do it in front of me. She said I will do it. She then said what do you think he did hit it with a hammer. My boyfriend asked if the mechanic was onsite so that we could ask him what exactly took place. She stated he was off today. Tracy stated it will be taken care of. I left the store and called the corporate office. I spoke with Maria and she filed an investigation and informed me that someone will get back to me within 48 hours.
Desired outcome: I am out of $891.96. This unexceptable. I am looking for full compensation.
