I was told I would start at $13.00 an hour. I started on Father's Day last year (June 20, 2020). My first site I was making, $13/hr. I had become uncomfortable around some of the younger employees at the site ultimately resulting in me being removed from the site for sticking up for myself, first of all.
Get offered another site, start working and somehow, I'm only making $12.80/hr. I contact my boss at Allied and he tells me thats what THE CONTRACTING SITE, pays me. But I'm contracted through ALLIED UNIVERSAL not my site, so ALLIED cut my pay without telling me, without asking if it was okay, and still tells me I make $13/hr when my pay stubs online prove I don't even make $13.
I am also a heart patient. I had to go to the ER 3 times in two months for my heart, I'm overdue for an open heart surgery that I cannot afford to pay for right now. My boss knows this, yet starts problems when I tell him I've had an emergency, and argues with me about coming in because he couldn't find coverage as my site supervisor was unavailable as well. Constantly harasses me about "squeezing another day in" my schedule...
1. I'm already overworked with doubles because the kid he sent here for weekends falls asleep on site or doesn't show up at all, AND STILL WORKS FOR THE COMPANY. STILL WORKING THE SITE. The site manager doesn't even want this other employee here yet my boss keeps sending this kid over here to pay him to sleep all shift. KNOWING he sleeps all shift. So I lost my Sunday weekend night, to someone else who doesn't do the job remotely close to the standard I do; so the company doesn't have to pay me one night of over time. So I lost my Sunday.
Tuesday is already my one day off aside from that now Sunday off. My fiance and I recently had a child and she has gone back to work since so I don't have a vehicle for Monday nights. So i'm constantly asked EVERY NIGHT by my site supervisor: "Eric wants to know if you can come in monday, or this tuesday for so and so" when I've told both of them I DON'T HAVE A VEHICLE THOSE DAYS. It's not do-able, I can't. This weekend kid showing up AN HOUR LATE almost already lost my fiance her job, not to mention she's been written up 2 times for coming in late because we share the vehicle and I don't get home until an HOUR AND A HALF after I'm already supposed to be clocked out because Trokon Hill overslept, or he had a party to go to. I'm 31 years old this is SO unprofessional on all accounts.
I'm being paid LESS than what promised when I first started I was making $13/hr switched sites and they CUT my pay they promised me. Unheard of. They didn't interview me and hire me saying: "you can switch sites and the pay rate changes" They told me "you make $13/hr".
So the kid who sleeps every weekend, is making more money than me, but I was told THIS SITE pays "what it pays" can't even give me a solid number. That's ridiculous and highly suspicious, selfish behavior on the company's end.
We're going to lose this contract with West Pharmaceuticals, becasue of this weekend kid and the only people who care are me and my supervisor Bernard.
I feel forced, to contact my lawyer unless this matter is otherwise resolved.
Desired outcome: Pay me what the rate I was hired at or, give me a raise or compensation for the wages I've lost thinking I've been being payed a number I'm not.
