Weis Markets - Bad customer service store #227

8.12.2022: Been a customer of Weis for a long time and have spent a lot of money at your store over time (at least $200 - $300 a week) since the store opened. When the store first opened there was always a management presence, (no matter what time of day), we could go to if we had an issue. If you talked to them in a civil tone, they would always do their best to resolve the problem. It was around 6:30 - 7:00 pm, and I went up to the customer service desk where I was informed by at least three teenage girls standing at a register across from the darkened desk, not working, just shooting the breeze that the customer service desk was closed and I couldn't even get my lottery ticket processed. (Do you not provide a break-room for employees to go to when they are taking a break?) They looked at me knowing very well that if I complained to them about it, the complaint would go nowhere, so I just walked away. Do you know how bad that is for a customer to feel that way? Is there any supervision at all? The only management person I've seen in the past was a 20-22 year old guy who by comparison was old to all the teenagers there however, he wasn't much better. I had to deal with him one time and he got confrontational because I needed help on the self check-out line, (which we HAD to use because there wasn't a register with an actual human to check us through available). If this was just one time, maybe I could say, okay, that's just one time but, this is not the first time and it's happening on a more regular basis as the year has gone by. The point is not whether I could use the lotto machine or yes, I did get my groceries checked out, (one thing you guys always make sure is working whether it's an actual person or self checkout). The point is, if you offer a service, then shouldn't it be open for use as long as the store is open regardless of whether the children are getting bored or not? Not ONE person out of everyone there can run the customer service desk? I realize you're the grocery/business experts but, this just feels like bad management.

Desired outcome: If a service is offered, it should be open during normal store hours regardless of how slow it may be on any given day/night.

Weis Markets - Store management

They dont allow for Reduced work, in that I am saying, When you get ill they make you take off from work.
When you are out for five weeks and need time to re~adapt.. They then tell You' You' get one break, Then a lunch. The third one that You' have been taking, must be approved by a manager. When You' go in the break room for water, You are considered taking way to many breaks.
Micro Managing after You return to full active duty of 40 hours a week, they tell You' You' cant do the paper aisles, You cant' do The Cleansing aisle, And Don't do the cereal aisle,, This work is {LIGHT DUTY } easy, You' need to concern Yourself to the heaviest aisles and leave the others For the store managers, "You ' are not entitled to Light Duty"

Desired outcome: When Someone comes back after 5 weeks out, because they don't allow light duty,
