Our dinner started off waiting 45 minutes beyond my "call ahead seating" time for a table. Then they sat us at a table for 7 because they thought that was how many were in our party, even though I corrected them twice. The table had food on it and stuck to it. When I told someone, who I found out later was the manager, our table wasn't clean; she came over saying nothing and wiped the parameter of the table we were using instead of the whole thing, still leaving food behind (I don't think that's covid protocol) we waiting forever for our waitress, our drinks took 10-15 minutes after ordering them. When dinner arrived, my medium-rare steak was well done. We ask the food runner for steak sauce and butter but she never returned. By the time our waitress came to check on our food, I was over it! I expressed my disappointment in our start to finish celebratory dinner. She returned with dessert to take home and removed both our dinners. I appreciated that very much but left the restaurant hungry and unhappy. Happy anniversary to us!
Outback Steakhouse - Product / service / manager
Seeking a refund for a visit on 3/12/20. The bill was over $50 and that was with my Dines Reward of a $20.00 discount. I can be reached at [protected] or via email at: Casandra.[protected]@alleghenycounty.us. We visited the Outback Steakhouse on McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 at approx. 5:00/5:30 p.m. We placed our orders (three orders); out of the three orders, two were incorrect (i.e., one steak not cooked enough and missing the Bourbon Sauce and one steak cooked correctly; however, had the Bourbon Sauce on it). The two orders were taken away to be done correctly. The manager brought out the new orders and stated there was a new cook. Out of the two new orders, one steak was still incorrect; it was to be well done; however, came out rare. The second steak was overly seasoned (we wondered if the cook just scraped off the bourbon sauce and heavily seasoned it to disguise any remnants of the bourbon sauce). The manager apologized again and stated "new cook". We only returned the one that was to be well done, asked to have it butterflied and finally, it came out the third time and was correct. My husband put up with the overly seasoned steak and still wondered if it was just scraped off and heavily seasoned to disguise the actions. During this entire fiasco, not one time were we offered a discount, removal from the bill, dessert, appetizer...nothing. We may not have wanted anything; however, the offer was never presented. We felt this was poor customer service. Atleast some of type of offer should have been extended but it was not. The folks in the booth behind us returned their steaks as well. Such a waste of food and money for a "new cook". We understand he was new and learning; however, instead of giving him additional on-the-job training maybe during off hours or in the a.m. prior to opening. The customers have to keep returning their food until it is right and never offered to have the items removed from the bill. Therefore, at this time, I am seeking a refund. The bill was over $50 and that was with my Dines Reward of a $20.00 discount. I can be reached at [protected] or via email at: Casandra.[protected]@alleghenycounty.us. I am at work presently and do not have the receipt on me. However, I charged everything and the Outback should have record of my charge/bill. I appreciate any feedback and/or the refund. Thank you for your time.
