My name is Akossiwa Akakpo and I have recently had the most distasteful experience with the Wilkes Barre Raymour and Flanigan. The manager who I spoke to's name was Mark B. Over a month ago I found the shayla full bed online on sale from the outlets website . I went to the store to order it to a different address in Philadelphia for my daughter whose in college going to Temple for her first year. I expressed to the employee who worked with me that I wanted to purchase the entire bed fully so that all she would need to do is put her mattress down and sleep on it. The employee said she understood and we proceeded with the purchase of the bed and with all the fees and delivery all came to about $300. The process of getting the bed delivered to the address in Philadelphia was stressful and unnecessary. They only had a short window for the delivery time and my daughter obviously had class in the morning so she was left to sleep on her mattress on the floor for weeks because they weren't flexible with their delivery even though they are so expensive. No one informed of this limited time issue we were told after we paid for the bed. When they finally were able to deliver the bed after weeks the people who were supposed to set up my daughters bed informed her that they would be incapable of doing so without a box spring. My daughter was completely confused because she knew no one had informed us of this before they took our money and waisted our time. The people then proceeded to leave her mattress on the floor claiming they couldn't do anything for her without a box spring . When we called the store and began complaining they informed us that they were sorry and assumed we knew about the box spring. They also said the people who came to set it up should not have just left the mattress on the floor but should have put in the rails that go across the middle of the bed. I then spoke to the one manager named Mark B. Who told me this was all a mix up and we would figure something out. After I received a call within 10 minutes from a sales associate telling me that the best they could do is for me to order the box spring or bunk spring and the cheapest it would be is $158.99. I asked about the rails and what to do about that and she said this is all they could do that I could go out on my own and purchase wooden rails. So now my daughter is still sleeping on the floor because of the poor service we received and lack of care the employees displayed towards us. It is very clear to me that Raymour and Flanigan does not care about people. They also do not take responsibility for their actions and they disregard their mistakes. This will be the last time I ever make a purchase there again. They think everyone is rich and they are truly disrespectful to customers time. I would never recommend anyone buying anything from them. I have learned my lesson officially and I hope someone reads this and learns from it.
