On April 20, 2023,I responded to an Aaron’s promotion to order online and make an initial $1.00 payment. I ordered a dining room set consisting of a table and four chairs.
On Wednesday, April 26, I received a phone call asking me I to come into the store to verify my identity. I went into the store at 4320 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122 on Saturday, April 29 and presented my drivers license and debit card to a very unprofessional young man and was given a delivery date of Wednesday, May 3 for delivery.
So why does a delivery truck show up on Wednesday night only to tell me my name does not match the order and he cannot complete the delivery. He further states I need to come back into the store to straighten things out.
If I wanted to go into a store, i could have gotten the merchandise much cheaper and I would not have ordered online. Plus if my name was not on the order, how did they manage to charge my debit card $125.55 and send thank you messages to my email?
So I asked that my money be returned and was told it could not happen. I HAVE to come into the store. So Aaron’s has the money and the merchandise and is totally unapologetic about messing this up in the first place. I have no interest in doing business with them.
Desired outcome: Refund and cancellation.
