I placed a pickup order at 5:05 pm to be picked up on the way to work. I received a message that said it would be ready at 5:17. I arrived at 5:30 and I was told by the girl working at the cash register that it hadn't reached the cooks screen so it had not even been started. By 5:40 I could no longer wait due to work. I was offered a refund and the manager didn't know how to do it and it took another 10 min.
While waiting for the refund, another couple asked for a refund because they had been waiting for their food (dining in) for 40 min. The cashier also told all the people coming in that they would have a long wait due to only 1 person preparing the orders.
This is unacceptable and I'm sure Panera bread is losing a lot of money from these repeated mistakes. I have heard negative experiences from 5 other people that I work with.
Some other complaints I have heard is waiting in the To-Go line for 45 min, running out of different items for food orders, and being charged for cheese for the french onion soup due to the restaurant not having the type that should have come on it.
Good luck surviving in Amarillo with such a poorly ran business.
Desired outcome: New and improved management or they won't survive in Amarillo, Tx. Read the google reviews.
