I recently went to a Charlotte Russe store in Arlington Texas to exchange two dresses that I had purchased about a week prior. Unfortunately I had misplaced my receipt and could not find it anywhere. But being that the tags were still attached and the merchandise was never worn I figured I could simply exchange it for something else in their store. What happened next is absolutely unbelievable. When I arrived to the store and explained the situation to the cashier she was so rude and disrespectful in telling me that without my receipt they could not accept my exchange. I have been a long time customer of Charlotte Russe and had never ever had this problem nor was I ever treated so rudely. When I asked to speak to a manager in order to get a better explanation, the manager was equally as rude as the cashier. She was unfriendly and not helpful at all. She told me that if I wanted to complain she would gladly give me the corporate number to call and complain. I left the store completely appalled and called the customer service corporate number for Charlotte Russe. Sadly I did not have any better luck with that. The lady that answered the phone in the customer service department was just as rude and disrespectful as the employees in the store. She could not explain the Charlotte Russe policy for returns and exchanges to me. She simply said it varies from store to store. Now their store policy is printed on their receipts and posted in their stores and it reads as follows... Refunds and exchanges within 30 days with original purchase receipt and tags attached. Price adjustments will be honored within 14 days of original purchase date. Refunds without a receipt require a valid ID and will be refunded to a non-transferable merchandise credit card. With that said I am absolutely disgusted with how Charlotte Russe treats their customers!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
