It was Saturday, May 8, 2021 at approximately 2 pm when I arrived at Cato in DeSoto. Two females were behind the counter as I approached with my return in hand. I frequently shop at this Cato and had never seen either one of these ladies. As I approached neither one of them greeted me as they watched me approached the counter. So I said hello and told them I had an exchange. The younger looking girl told the other lady to wait on me and the proceeded to. I explained to her that it was a gift and I had no receipt and the tags had been removed by the person who gave me the gift. The older looking lady now decides she is going to buy in and says rudely that no, they will not exchange them. I saw the pants still for sale there at full price so I told her that and she said that it didn't matter they were not going to exchange them. Keep in mind the pants clearly had not been worn and the older looking lady had inspected them. I asked her if she would mind putting them on the back counter as I shopped and again the younger looking girl raised her voice and said " I told you we are not exchanging them!" I turned to look at her, took a deep breath and politely told her that I had money to spend. Part of me wanted to leave but Mother's Day was the following day and I had shopping to do. I proceeded to buy full price pants and two shirts. By this time the rude girl was gone. So I paid for my things, got my pants back that don't fit and left with Abad taste in my mouth about this particular store.
I am hoping you will be able to resolve this issue and refund me for a pair of 24.99 pants that are useless to me.
