Purchased a Clayton power recliner 12/312022, received it 4/11/23. 4/13/23 we drove 35 miles to the store at 9461 N Fwy, Ft Worth to talk with salesman (manager) & sit in the chair that was sold to us because the chair we received didn't sit anywhere close to what we thought we bought. At time of purchase, he said the showroom chair was only about a month old, so a new chair should be the same. Wrong! He said we just need to sit in it and it should break in a couple of weeks. May 8th I called him back and told him it still was very uncomfortable and I feel unsafe because I slide out of it and it was making my back hurt. He was very curt and told me to call customer service. 5/8/23 left message, returned 5/9 she will send someone out. 5/17/23 service guy came - I see what you mean but I don't think we can do anything about it but I'll take measurements and compare to one in warehouse. 6/14 service guy came out & installed a new seat. New seat is very soft and didn't help with the issue of sliding out of seat. 6/26 called CS left message. 6/29 CS returned call but I missed call. 7/6 called CS they returned call 7/7 and said sorry that's all we are going to do. You only had 10 days from purchase date to return it.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund or a store credit to purchase a different chair. We have bought lazyboy furniture for 40+ years because the quality has always been good, we passed our old lazyboy furniture to our children and they still have it.
